- ByrdeMan - 06-15-2014 Im currently getting Ready to build a decent PC nothing over the top extreme but something that can play Games better than my out of date 5 year old Gaming PC This is what I'm getting so far: AMD FX-8350 Quad Core Processor Radeon R9 280X 3GB 384-Bit GDDR5 CrossFireX Support Video Card 16-32gb of ram (Dependin on the board) Thermaltake Toughpower 750W PSU 80+ GOLD Any suggestions? Trying to keep it under the 1000 dollar range. - Gifter of Bikes - 06-15-2014 Under 1k? That shouldn't be difficult. How much is that graphics card? - Maxy - 06-15-2014 Not a fan of AMD myself, everything else looks solid - Gifter of Bikes - 06-15-2014 You can definitely get away with 16 GB of RAM. You won't notice a difference going to 32. Save the money. - RomanesEuntDomus - 06-15-2014 I'm not that up to date on hardware, but don't forget to get a good SSD. - Harry - 06-15-2014 http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/ this will help a lot and agree 100% with Oc. SSD will change your life! - ByrdeMan - 06-15-2014 Quote:Originally posted by Gifter of Bikes@Jun 15 2014, 07:37 PMI dont mind if i go over. But just setting a benchmark. Yeah, SSD>HDD - Gifter of Bikes - 06-15-2014 Don't cheap out on the SSD though. You can get them for $70 if you wait for sales, but they might die out in 6 months. I'd rather spend $250 on a reliable SSD and get the 16gb of RAM. - Ragnar - 06-15-2014 Http://www.reddit.com/r/buildapc - Jesster - 06-15-2014 Stick to 16 GM RAM, thats super great, 32 isnt needed to be honest. A good SSD, which many have pointed out, will make a much bigger difference. I currently have 16GB RAM and its great, my next purchase will be an SSD. AMD is fine, I've always preferred Intel for my CPUs though. Best of luck! :D - ByrdeMan - 06-15-2014 Thanks for the feed back guys! Greatly appreciated! - gorlab - 06-15-2014 Intel > AMD NVIDIA > ATI/AMD Get an intel i5 processor with an older GeForce graphics cards. - ByrdeMan - 06-15-2014 Quote:Originally posted by gorlab@Jun 15 2014, 10:33 PMI have an NVIDIA GTX 260 atm  - Harry - 06-15-2014 Quote:Originally posted by gorlab@Jun 15 2014, 08:03 PM i5 is the most you will need unless you are rendering shit and you can a old gfx card that is cheaper but still runs everything maxed. |
