Alright, so it's about that time. First off, I'd like to thank the Stars for the easy negotiations with our Dufour/Jabir trade made earlier in the day. Jabir is still a fantastic player, but he is really no longer of use to us. Dufour is a much younger, more active guy with the potential to develop into a solid 2nd or 3rd line winger. We're very excited to have been able to grab him.
Secondly, it is with great sadness that I announce that Dougie Brind'Amour's career will be coming to and end after this season. I understand I'm going to get hated on for doing this, mainly since I've retired a couple of times in the past. However, this time, it's not for personal, selfish reasons. I will be doing this to improve the future of our team. I honestly really hate to have to do this as I loved Brind'Amour and my build, but it's something I have to do as I love the Platoon that much more.
Yes, I will be re-creating and that will be done as soon as I come up with a name. This is always the hardest part for me when creating a player, so we'll see. As sad as I am to do this, I'm really happy to be adding a new player to the core of the Platoon. As we enter a new era under the Kearns and Joker regime, my new player will become one of the building blocks.
I'm expecting hate for this obviously, but at least this time I'm not doing it for personal reasons, lol. PLATOONZAAAA!
In other news, Witz and I are now engaged <33 Wedding is set for sometime after the challenge cup. Richan will be the Witz' best man, Tucci will be mine and Joker will be the ring bearer(:
