It may come as little surprise to most of you that I will be joining the Hamilton Steelhawks this season for my rookie year in the SHL.
What may come as a shock is that I have been working all summer longer bulking up and beefing out. I will be walking into training camp in the next few weeks as a 525 TPE blue liner.
Yes that is correct I have made the positional change from my natural position at center to a defender.As this may be news to most of you it has been in the works for over a season.
When I was first approached by the Steelhawks brass the conversation came up of whether or not I would entertain the possibility of switching positions. Knowing that the forward line up would be a hard shell to crack with the depth in talent and center man. As well as priding myself on being a team first player, it was a easy question to answer. Absolutely, I had my heart set on becoming a Steelhawk and would do what ever it takes to help them succeed.
I have one intention and one intention only playing defense, hit everything and everyone. I want to make the opposition cringe when they enter our zone and keep the ice packs flowing on there benches.
I will also be switching my familiar number 18 to a more defensive number in 48.

Are you changing your position out of a sorrow that you won't be on a line/team with Morgan, so you plan on hitting and shot blocking your pain away?
