No, this isn't another April fools joke.
I've put a lot of thought into this, and I've decided that it would be best for me to go inactive for a while, if not permanently. I've realized lately that I'm spending way too much time online and on electronics and stuff and I want to just live life more.
This incident was a good wake-up call, because I realized just how invested I was in this league when I lost all that TPE. Not that that's a bad thing, but I'm 22 and training to be a youth worker, and it's not mature of me to be more focused on a fake hockey league when my job is to help real kids with real issues.
It's not about the TPE, the BoD could give it back now and it wouldn't matter, my mind is made up. It's been a fun year here, but my time here is over. I might check back every once in a while, but won't be updating my player after I do all the TPE fixing for my punishment.

Go take care of real life, though, that's definitely the most important - if you ever feel like you find a better balance and can come back without it being too much, we'll be happy to see you.

Oh, and just as an aside, don't get mad at the BoD for this. Yes, it's because of their decision that I came to this conclusion, but this is a conscious decision from myself to do what's best for me, and it would have come sooner or later. The BoD were just doing their job, this isn't their fault.

Awesome man, The SHL is a great hobby and a fun way to pass time, if you feel it's interfering with the other aspects of your life your making a good choice.
Helping troubled youths is a worthy cause. May I suggest a couple from the site to get in contact with first?

Thanks for everything Colin. You were a great member, and I can tell the way you carried yourself here is probably similar to how you carry yourself in real life. It's a shame we probably won't encounter each other in the streets or whatever, since you live about a week's drive from my place.
I wish you the best and it was awesome having you on my team. I do still remember the time I told you about the issues I had, personally, and you were great enough to discuss them with me and give me some insight. For that, I'll never be able to repay, so I'll make it up to you by paying it forward.

Sorry to see you go Schmidt, but understand the reasonings. Real life should always be more important than stuff like this. Best of luck with everything and it's been a pleasure getting to know you over these last few seasons.
