A lot of players hated how rigid Lamoriello was anyways, and he hasn't done anything positive for the Devils in years.

Pleased with this, I love Lou and all he's done for the franchise but it was time for a new direction, and Shero is a competent GM.

Yeah, I'm glad it's Shero that took over. It's still a bit shocking to me though.
