The Official Season 25 Entry Draft Rankings (Ready to Grade - 6248 Words)

Over the past few weeks, we've seen numerous rankings of this mega draft class. We've seen rankings of TPE and points, we've seen relatively arbitrary rankings based on potential, and we've even seen a Season 24 SMJHL Entry Re-Draft. And in these threads, we've seen constant disagreements and arguments regarding where certain players have been ranked, how they should be ranked, and what the most important things in a player are. What I did is solely look at what makes a player attractive to an SHL General Manager. Enough with the SMJHL statistics - I think that's one thing everyone can agree does not matter in the slightest. It's a product of your linemates, your playing time, your team's strategy, a whole lot of luck, and a little bit to do with your build and actual skill as a player. With such a small separation in talent in the SMJHL, judging anything on statistics is truly flawed.

So we get to the real crux of the issue. What do General Managers look for in a player. We know they're going to be interested in TPE - that's a given. They want to see activity. Probably a healthy bank account. A player build that is sustainable and can bring about SHL success long-term. And, perhaps one of the more important factors, good character. Now this can be leadership, simply a likable person, simply a good fit with the rest of the team, or, more likely, a combination of all these. These rankings are a product of my efforts to find a way to quantify a player's TPE, bank account, activity, personality/likability, and player build. While TPE and bank account were easy, the others were much more difficult.

The first thing I did was run through each SMJHL team and look at each Season 25 draftee in-depth. I recorded their TPE total, total posts, posts per day, looked at their last date of log-in, their rep, and bank account. I also recorded notes on how each player's build was for their position, especially their strength and weakness, and came up with a rough personality score - basically how frequently they're posting in the forums, interacting with other members, if they're even active anymore, if they tend to get along with people or if they seem to always be in an argument, their media contributions, and if they have any league responsibilities or jobs. This was probably the most difficult and least accurate metric simply because it is difficult to determine and it's virtually impossible to get rid of bias. But fear not, of the five different metrics, only player build was based primarily on my opinion as opposed to the data I collected.

Once I had all the raw data, I began to put different categories into tiers. While the tiers were rough approximations, I used the averages within a category and the standard deviation of the given data set to determine the exact cutoffs. What resulted was a seven tier system that was created for TPE, bank account, posts per day, total posts, posts per rep, player build, and personality. Once each player was tiered for each category, I then had to figure out how to come up with the tiers for activity and overall personality. For activity, I used each player's average total posts and posts per day tier in order to counteract the advantages of being here for a couple months or for years yet rewarded those who showed sustained activity over longer periods of time. For personality, I averaged a given player's personality tier as determined by myself and explained above and their post to rep ratio tier. After this was done, I had five different measurements, each on a 1-7 scale with a 1 indicating the best possible score.

I then had to determine how to weight each measurement - something I actually did before beginning any of this data collection. TPE was assigned a weight of 0.40, bank account 0.20, activity 0.15, personality 0.15, and player build 0.10. I simply multiplied each score by their weight and took the sum to come up with a player's overall score, which, again, is on a 1-7 scale with 1 being the best. Now that the boring part is over, it's time to introduce to you the Season 25 SHL Draft Class Top 50 Rankings!

- Baelor Swift - 07-22-2015

<div align="center">50. Eichel Jordan - Eichel Jordan
Defense - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 6.125

Eichel Jordan came into the SMJHL with one of the best names and a whole lot of hype. While he slowed down fairly quickly, he stuck around and managed to remain in the SMJHL Draft conversation. Ultimately, the Vancover Whalers selected him with the 33rd overall selection in the 6th round. While he's remained on the team, his lack of drive has not gone without notice. He has not improved in weeks and, in fact, has not even been on the site for over a month now. He does have a fairly solid player build as a two-way defenseman and is likely a career SMJHLer.

49. Hugh Johnson - Habsfan18
Center - Kelowna Knights
Score: 6.125

Hugh Johnson, friend of Ballerstorm and cousin of Mook. With names like this, you hope they'll be active but know deep down it's not meant to be as Hugh Johnson faded into oblivion fairly quickly after looking like he had a chance to materialize into a serviceable player when he was selected 39th overall by the Knights. Unfortunately for both parties, he is long forgotten as his improvement slowed down to a virtual halt and has currently not visited the site in more than a week. While hope still remains that his league connections can bring Johnson back, it is still highly doubtful.

48. Tony Flow - Massive Coiler
Right Wing - Kelowna Knights
Score: 5.95

I'll be honest here, Tony Flow far exceeded my expectations. The fact that he still lurks around the forum is surprising in and of itself. But it doesn't appear as if Massive Coiler, who created his account in June of 2014, has any intentions of making the SHL but would rather flaunt his interesting avatar depicting Ace as a scantily clad Marge Simpson dancing in front of Tony Flow. So while the 46th overall pick has not been a total failure and may actually be a key asset for the Knights in the coming seasons, his SHL prospects are dim.

47. Thong Bonerstorm - ThongBonerstorm
Left Wing - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 5.725

Bonerstorm was the 31st overall selection for the Firebirds and, at the time, it really didn't look like such a bad pick. His player name shows some personality, even if it was destined to succumb to the Hugh Johnson-esque fate, and he did show a legitimate interest in the league early on. Unfortunately, that interest waned. And then took an absolute nosedive. The once promising Bonerstorm has now been inactive for about two weeks. So while he is a player who can score with the best of them, he'll be delegated to a bottom six role in the SMJHL at best before he is forced into retirement.

46. Clive Stonehands - Scudmakt
Right Wing - Detroit Falcons
Score: 5.7

Stonehands is a player who had many fooled at the beginning, though. He had the makings of a guy who potentially could be a solid SHL player, seemed moderately active on the forums, and interested in learning about the league. While it's only been a few days since he last visited the site, his days of improvement look very much to be waning as it's now been three weeks since his last update. At pick 29, it looked like the sniper whose name did not match his abilities could be a steal. Instead, Stonehands has been nothing short of a bust.

45. Jukka-Emil Vanaja - Vanaja
Defense - Kelowna Knights
Score: 5.675

It would be easy to look at Vanaja and immediately write him off. He's been virtually silent on the boards and doesn't have a ton of potential. Yet Vanaja's slotting at number 45 on this list is the mark of a solid selection by the Knights, who grabbed the defensive defenseman with the 51st overall pick in the SMJHL Draft. What's more is that Vanaja is still checking up on the forums and updating, however slow a pace he may be going, and this is great for Kelowna.

44. Bobby Trill - Da Trifecta
Right Wing - Montreal Impact
Score: 5.65

Like Vanaja, Trill was a late pick who has actually exceeded expectations. The Impact were able to grab Trill with the 50th pick in the draft and while he's gone from an initial burst of activity to a major lull to the occasional, bi-weekly update, he's still someone who has been sticking around. While he has been known to cause some issues in other leagues, his lack of activity may actually bode well for him here as when he does come on, he largely stays out of discussion and simply trains and heads out the back door.

43. Colin Wood - PieEatingManiac
Defense - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 5.55

Colin Wood gets a ranking here largely due to the activity he did show before falling off the face of the Earth. Wood represents our first true bust as he was selected by the Whalers with the 9th overall pick as a player many believed was headed for a bright future in the SHL, perhaps even a decorated future. He was not only active but he was one of the more outgoing players in the draft class, making him such a curious case as he's now been gone for nearly a month. The Whalers are, for sure, kicking themselves for that pick in such a deep draft class, one that very well may come back to haunt them.

42. Rick Chleb - Schabouy
Defense - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 5.4

Following Colin Wood is another underwhelming defenseman. The Firebirds, after going with offense with their first two picks, grabbed Chleb at number 18, hoping he would develop into a future leader of their defensive core. How wrong they would be, though, as the guy with the absolutely disturbing avatar disappeared at the end of June and never returned. Despite this, Chleb is able to prove the Firebirds with a solid third pair option as a fairly reliable but offensively challenged defenseman.

41. DJ Stanley - iiDJstanley
Center - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 5.375

Well, if the Firebirds are disappointed in their selection of Chleb, they are absolutely thrilled that they were able to land DJ Stanley. One of the few players eligible for the SMJHL Entry Draft to not be drafted, he is certainly on a mission to prove his doubters wrong with a recent burst in activity that SHL General Managers are certain to be aware of. Despite acquiring the title of undrafted hero, he will need to update with more regularity and with more intensity if he wants to truly make a name for himself where it matters.

- Baelor Swift - 07-22-2015

<div align="center">40. McLaren Nasher - NYR84
Right Wing - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 5.3

Nasher's name was just meant for hockey, which very well may have contributed to the Scarecrows taking him with the 25th overall pick. While this was probably a reach, one could make an argument for it being a perfect pick as Nasher has been active and is, overall, a pretty likable person. He just seems to have some updating issues and perhaps he just needs the right people surrounding him to really motivate him to work his way up to the SHL level. So while his chances of playing in the SHL at some point in his career are fairly slim, do not count McLaren Nasher out from being a high upside selection in the SHL Entry Draft.

39. Hunter Bob - elijah
Left Wing - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 5.225

Unlike the handful of guys ranked directly behind Hunter Bob, the Firebirds did not put a huge investment into this left winger. Selected with the 43rd overall pick, Hunter Bob never was expected to do much. He has a solid offensive build and while he has been slacking lately, it wouldn't be a huge surprise to see Bob make some sort of comeback as elijah has the ability to make a very strong player if he's into it.

38. Sergei Volchenkov - Jake_ilinnuc
Defense - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 5.1

Volchenkov is an interesting character. He came into the league mid-season and was signed by the Whalers as a guy to help solidify their defensive core. He has an interesting build, one that very well could hurt him, as his weakness is strength as a defensive defenseman. Nonetheless, he was been reliably updating while his forum presence is lacking, he could certainly sneak in under the radar, especially since he will be compared directly with players who enjoyed a two to three week head start.

37. Rostislav Pirozhkov - BRayne
Defense - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 5.1

While similar to teammate Volchenkov in a number of ways including their team, nationality, position, and late start in the league, Pirozhkov is ranked ahead for a few reasons. First, they are on approximately the same level despite Pirozhkov joining even two weeks after Volchenkov. And, BRayne has been fairly active around the forums, helping to garner some attention from the rest of the league. Although there are a number of red flags regarding Pirozhkov, he very well could be a steal in the draft as he appears to be very committed and willing to do what he is able to improve.

36. Jack Reacher - Ramicus
Left Wing - Montreal Impact
Score: 5.075

While Jack Reacher is a known entity, that is not exactly a great thing for his draft stock as commitment issues will be at the forefront of everyone's decision come draft day. And although he was a late joiner, he has been fairly slow and deliberate in his updating and doesn't appear to be in a rush to make it to the show. He also has an interesting build that, despite its limitations, could provide value in a bottom six role. The real question will be whether Ramicus can stick with Reacher and maintain constant activity.

35. Michael Ferkland - mexico.27
Left Wing - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 5.05

Ferkland is ranked so highly purely because of what he has done in the SHL before. Despite not having been seen for three weeks, mexico.27 has a huge bank and a tremendous history including a past Hall of Famer. Any team that takes Ferkland will be making the selection based on pure upside because he certainly has a bank that can allow him to essentially do nothing besides update for a long time and be a solid player.

34. Ross Burke - burkie94
Left Wing - Detroit Falcons
Score: 5.05

Although Burke is very quiet, he has been steadily improving and certainly has SHL potential. He has shown he is capable of putting together a solid media article and has a strong build for an offense-first forward. Unfortunately for him, those are a dime a dozen so he will need to figure out a way to distinguish himself from the other draftees.

33. William Hendrickson - Rhogeos
Right Wing - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 4.9

Hendrickson was a very promising prospect at the start, showing plenty of activity and being generally well-like among the draft class. The Scarecrows saw his potential and made him the 13th overall pick, banking on the idea that his interest would hold up. Unfortunately for St. Louis, the grinding winger's training has been diminishing in quality as the chances for the hard-hitting Hendrickson to make the SHL are increasingly slim. He has not updated for about three weeks now although he was last on the site a few days ago. He isn't quite a lost cause but he's sure looking like another SMJHL draft-day bust.

32. Mario Nyquist - mpna4
Center - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 4.9

Mario Nyquist was a scoring machine for the Firebirds in Season 24. But this was largely due to circumstance as he has always been and seemingly will continue to make a very small forum presence. He combines a lack of posting with sporadic updating and he is a guy who, if he even does end up making the SHL, won't be there for quite a few seasons and will probably never have a top six role. But, for the 42nd pick in the SMJHL Draft, he really has been everything anyone could have expected and, once again, the playmaking center will be one of the later draft selections that have continued to show any signs of activity.

31. Bastien Salabanzi - Derknas4
Defense - Detroit Falcons
Score: 4.8

It's been almost two weeks since the last Salabanzi sighting and one has to wonder how this happened. His activity seemed to vanish suddenly before the disappearance, strange considering he was, at one point, among the TPE leaders, was incredibly active on the forums, and was even the first defenseman selected at 5th overall. What he does provide the Falcons with is a good two-way presence as he's been a big part of their successful season thus far. But the team that does take a chance on this Irish defenseman will be hoping they can find a way to bring him back to the SHL.

</div>

- Baelor Swift - 07-22-2015

<div align="center">30. Julie-Anne Marshall - Syckez
Center - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 4.8

Marshall is an interesting character, joining just three weeks ago yet earning quite a bit of TPE in that time while also being a long-time member of the SHL. Syckez has been fairly active on the forums recently and is one of the overall total posts leaders among the draft class. The one thing holding her back from being higher up on this list is a very non-traditional and seemingly detrimental build. Not only was endurance chosen as a strength but, perhaps even worse, strength was chosen as her weakness. This does not exactly suggest Marshall will ever be able to be a top tier player, regardless of TPE potential, so while everything else warrants a higher ranking, build will keep her as a top 30 bookend.

29. Michael Gerrard - stevo
Right Wing - Montreal Impact
Score: 4.75

Gerrard was selected with the 38th overall pick after suggesting that his hockey interest just simply was not all there. Yet that hasn't stopped him from becoming strong offensive contributor and a guy who truly can open up a game if opponents take him too lightly. He has continued to be active on the forums, albeit in smaller quantities than many of his peers, and with weekly updates, Gerrard is a player that may be overlooked but certainly has SHL potential.

28. Matt Veenstra - Emveegtg
Defense - Kelowna Knights
Score: 4.525

Matt Veenstra was selected 34th overall by the Knights and has certainly exceeded expectations. He's been active around the forums, has been reliably updated, and has a pretty solid build. While he could benefit from choosing one of passing or scoring to focus on, Veenstra shines in a draft class that has a lack of defensemen, especially with three of the top five taken in the SMJHL Entry Draft going inactive. It may take a few seasons for him to mature, but any team who drafts him will be getting a solid defenseman.

27. Devon Mack - GreatOneHimself
Center - Montreal Impact
Score: 4.525

Mack was a late addition by the Impact, adding him after the regular season had already begun. Since then, he has taken the league by storm, earning a surprising amount of points for getting such a late start. He also has a very solid build as a two-way center and is a guy that does put effort into taking faceoffs. While Mack isn't one of the more outspoken guys on the forums, he will let his presence be known from time to time. The one thing holding him back right now is his bank account. Devon Mack is currently in the red, a literal red flag as training and equipment costs more in the SHL than it does for junior players, raising questions as to whether he'll be able to keep up.

26. Cynthia Taylor - Cynthia
Defense - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 4.45

Cynthia Taylor came into the league with everyone assuming she would be a Whaler and become teammates with her husband. Yet that changed in the SMJHL Draft as Vancouver let her slide, and then let her slide some more. The Firebirds grabbed her with the 30th overall selection, a pick they couldn't be much happier about as Taylor has evolved into a talented defensewoman. She updates with regularity and is moderately active on the forums and is actually one of the more sneaky funny members of this draft class. One issue she must focus on is her skating ability - she will have to work on that in the off-season if she wants to take her game to the next level.

25. Jack Durden - martyrpayens
Center - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 4.3

Durden has been among the better TPE earners in the league and while his forum activity outside of the Whalers locker room was virtually non-existent early in the season, we've begun to see him begin contributing on the main forums, which is sure to boost his draft stock. He is a guy who updates regularly and appears to be passionate about the league and while he can get a bit fired up at times, passion is a good thing to see in draftees. If he can work on his passing this off-season, we could see him come out strong next season as one of the top playmakers in the SMJHL. Durden is certainly the type of player that will be picked with the expectation that he will be playing in the SHL in the coming seasons.

24. Ryan King - TML99
Right Wing - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 4.225

Ryan King has been very active in media this season and it certainly will be reflected in his draft position. While not quite as talkative as some in this draft class, his presence is certainly well-known and he appears to be widely liked and respected. One issue with King, though, is his player build. His chosen weakness in puck handling may hold him back from being a truly effective player for the time being and it will be difficult for him to remain competitive and keep his puck handling at an adequate level. Nonetheless, he has been a solid updater and does have a good amount of TPE up to this point. His activity is definitely a plus and SHL General Managers are certainly aware of this.

23. Nikolaus Scholz - karlssens
Center - Kelowna Knights
Score: 4.125

One thing holding back the German center is his overall activity. While he is a likable guy, it seems as though he prefers to lay low which can make it difficult to really get to know him. Judging by his post count, he very well may not be all that active in his team's locker room either. Nonetheless, Scholz is absolutely a solid prospect as he's a TPE machine and has a solid, well-rounded two-way build. As the 22nd overall selection by the Knights, he has certainly lived up to, if not exceeded expectations.

22. Austin Lemieux - Voyagaming
Goaltender - Detroit Falcons
Score: 4.1

With Nevzorov automatically headed to unknown expansion team number two, Lemieux is the only goaltender worth drafting in this class. The 20th overall pick split time with Lee Bowden this year for the first place Falcons and while he will require a fair bit of seasoning in the SMJHL, he has SHL potential, perhaps even moreso than Nevzorov had. He is fairly quiet, though, but he updates every week and if a team is looking for their goaltender of the future, they likely will be getting that in the Canadian goaltender.

21. Alexander Wolff - NateyD
Defense - Montreal Impact
Score: 3.9

Wolff has perhaps one of the best histories in the SHL among anyone in this draft and while he has been fairly quiet lately, it would be hard to imagine this guy not being a strong SHL prospect with everything he is able to bring to a team. A guy who was expected to go in the first two rounds of the SMJHL Entry Draft, the Impact scooped him up at 26, a selection that has only become more impressive as the already thin position has become plagued with inactives. Even if he were selected in the mid second round of the SHL Draft, he very well may turn out to be a steal because this guy is as sure a thing as they come.

</div>

- Baelor Swift - 07-22-2015

<div align="center">
20. John Wick - Ghostspeed
Left Wing - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 3.725

36 players were drafted ahead of Wick yet he finds himself kicking off the top twenty prospects in the Season 25 Entry Draft. Ghostspeed has been around for a while although has not had much success with his players up to this point. He will look to change things with Wick, who is a solid two-way forward yet has a weakness in strength. He has been updating with regularity and seems to have found a new drive to keep active, something SHL teams will be banking on in this draft.

19. Chris Welch - GrapeJuice72
Right Wing - Montreal Impact
Score: 3.725

Welch is a player who was named on of the draft's biggest steals out of the gate and he's certainly lived up to those expectations after the Impact snagged him at 23. The playmaking winger played significant time on Montreal's first line and has shown a knack for scoring points. While Welch has also done en excellent job at amassing TPE, his forum presence has been a bit lacking since the SMJHL Draft. While this is not all that concerning since he's been and continues to update frequently, it's also not something that will go unnoticed as intense scouting of the draftees begins.

18. Frederik Zavstrom - Corco
Center - Kelowna Knights
Score: 3.675

While Zavstrom has not been quite as active as one would expect out of a player belonging to Corco, he ranks here largely for his past and bank size. Although his TPE is a bit low, he has been continuously updating and should have no problem with purchasing the training and equipment required to be a solid player. His reputation will also be highly valued and may take precedent over player skill.

17. Jonathan Lundberg - Rich701
Center - Kelowna Knights
Score: 3.675

Lundberg was a late joiner, only here for what is now five weeks. Despite this, he has more than made up for lost time as he ranks among the top players in TPE while forcing his way into playing time with Kelowna. The power forward has a solid build and is a score first type of guy with a weakness in passing, something that very well could delay his effectiveness as a player. Regardless, he has also shown solid activity since joining and you could very well make the case that he deserves to be a first round selection.

16. Roman Morenov - drodger91
Defense - Montreal Impact
Score: 3.675

Taken with the 35th overall selection, Morenov has quietly been one of the better players of this draft, unable to even garner any attention as a draft steal. The shutdown defenseman, although quiet on the forums, has had no trouble improving and staying active and at 99 defense, he is a very difficult player to match up against. With defense at a premium and Morenov getting virtually no attention, expect him to be a steal in the SHL Entry Draft as well if he's not taken early in the second round.

15. Travis Kudleychuk - BeanSobie
Center - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 3.65

The Firebirds took Kudleychuk with the 19th pick in the draft and certainly got a good one here. He has been extremely active on the forums, especially as we approach the draft, and should be considered one of the gems of this draft class as he really has shown he can be the total package - solid player, high activity, well liked, no signs of slowing down. You name it, he has it. The fact that he's ranked 15th is more a product of this class' depth than anything else.

14. Luke Fleming - Nereus
Center - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 3.65

While Kudleychuk was Prince George's second center taken in the draft, Fleming was the first and together they've combined to make an excellent one-two punch, one that will be far more pronounced next season with a year under their belts. He has shown great activity, great drive to succeed, and overall is a strong SHL prospect and one a team should be thrilled to add in the late first or early second round.

13. Leon Webb - spidey
Left Wing - Prince George Firebirds
Score: 3.35

While Webb is largely considered to be a disappointing player with his pedigree, he is certainly no slouch. Although the TPE totals are a bit low, he has remained moderately active, has continued to update and improve, and has the bank account of a true veteran. While Webb may not ever be an elite player, he still does have the potential and should be a rather safe selection, all things considered.

12. John Matthews - philthethrill81
Defense - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 3.35

Another league veteran, Matthews joined just days before the draft which put him ever so slightly behind much of his draft class. He has history in the SHL and, because of it, the Scarecrows drafted him at pick 24. His reliable updating and moderate activity have pushed him up in the rankings as he has one of the largest banks in the entire class to fall back on. He is in a very similar situation as Webb - does not project to be an elite talent but has everything required not only to be a solid player in the SHL but has done it before.

11. Zach Hoover - Hoovuh
Left Wing - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 3.325

While Hoover hasn't quite lived up to his 4th overall selection, he is anything but a bust. He's shown tremendous dedication and a high activity level that will ensure he is one of the earlier picks. The playmaking winger will be a valuable commodity as it seems more of the draft class has decided to be scorers, unsurprising as many of the top guys are looking to be "the guy". Hoover's unselfish play just may help him earn a higher draft position but regardless of where he falls, Hoover should be a big part of any team's future.

</div>

- Baelor Swift - 07-22-2015

<div align="center">
10. Adam Falk - NJBadApple
Left Wing - Montreal Impact
Score: 3.3

After falling to 14th overall in the SMJHL Entry Draft, Falk has finally been getting the attention he deserves after a highly successful individual rookie campaign. While that has no bearing on these rankings, he still cracks the top ten as a highly talented forward with loads of potential. And although his general forum activity is not quite on the level of other top ten draftees, he more than makes up for it with his reliable point earning and updating along with a likable personality.

9. Michael Burch - carousel182
Right Wing - Detroit Falcons
Score: 3.1

Like Falk, Burch was also a third round pick in a very hit or miss round that produced three top ten players along with three who essentially disappeared entirely. Burch is very active in media, has proven to be someone that is very easy to get along with, displays dedication win his point earning, and really does anything anyone could ask out of a guy. Burch should be a stud and a leader in the SHL and should provide a ton of value as a pass-first winger.

8. Kristjan Vilhjalmsson - deknegt
Center - Kelowna Knights
Score: 3

A surprising selection at number 3 after the presumptive top two, the Icelandic sensation has done everything necessary to prove those doubters wrong. While he is not very talkative nor active in the general forums, from what I've heard he's a quiet leader who steps up when necessary - an essential component to any team. He's also amassed an impressive bank account and has shown no signs of slowing down. One potential red flag is his build - with a weakness in defense, it will likely take an even greater effort for him to build an elite player. But one thing that is for sure is that Vilhjalmsson has the potential to be a valuable player in the SHL.

7. Geoffrey Allen - Allen
Right Wing - Vancouver Whalers
Score: 2.875

If we're talking about draft steals, Allen has to be on your list. He was taken with the 28th overall selection yet is among the most active and highest point earning draftees of his class. He does come across as a bit rough around the edges and seems to enjoy portraying himself as an asshole but it also seems as though it's mostly an act and an excuse to say some pretty funny things without being too offensive since he treats everyone the same way. But he has toned it down recently which is a very positive thing as it's virtually the only thing you can criticize him about. Otherwise, his activity and point earning have exceeded expectations and there is no reason why he will not be a first round pick.

6. Ivan Koroviev - Alucard
Right Wing - Kelowna Knights
Score: 2.725

The third big steal of the third round, the Knights sure hit the mark on each of their first three selections. While Koroviev joined just days before the draft, he has done an excellent job at making up for the lost week many of his peers were able to take advantage of. He's been one of the stronger media contributors of the draft class and has a healthy bank to show for it. Although, like many of the Knights' players, he's not all that vocal around the forums, he has had spurts of activity and has been a consistent updater with virtually no negatives to speak of. While he has slightly gone under the radar, he deserves to be one of the top players taken in the draft.

Jasper Clayton - Eggy216
Defense - Detroit Falcons
Score: 2.55

And all of a sudden we have the second biggest jump in between two consecutive ranks so far with Jasper Clayton at number five. Although Clayton was the second defenseman taken by the Falcons in the SMJHL Draft, he has easily been their best player from the loaded draft class. He is incredibly likable, has off-the-charts activity, has a ridiculous bank account, and has proven he can earn points with the best of them. I am confident when I say that Clayton will be a foundational player and should the expansion teams make wise draft-day decisions, they should not be hurting at all from slotting in at the fourth and fifth selections.

4. Maria Maximova - enigmatic
Defense - Kelowna Knights
Score: 2.425

Maria Maximova has quietly made her way into the top four of this draft class through tremendous dedication. She ranks fourth in TPE, has a healthy bank account, makes great graphics, and, although is not the most active on the forums, has certainly made her presence known. She's proven to be a dominant two-way defensewoman and is a player that will make great contributions in the offensive and defensive zones as well as in the locker room, continuing the Knights' acquisition of quiet leadership in the SMJHL Draft.

3. Lord Pretty Flacko - Baelor Swift
Left Wing - Montreal Impact
Score: 2.275

Sorry to break up the flow of these rankings but I just can't write about myself in the third person, especially with being ranked so highly here. So with the third most TPE, behind only Jesster and Wind and twelve more than number four to go along with high activity and being someone who has been able to get along with most people here, Pretty Flacko ranks in at number three, the second Montreal player to slot into the top ten. And we all know there will be another.

2. Evandrus Jesster - Jesster
Center - Montreal Impact
Score: 1.575

Coming in at number two is Evandrus Jesster, a guy who has been around the SHL since Season 1. While it is likely he will end up being the first overall selection in the draft due to his history, position, and leadership, he fell just short in these rankings although the difference is virtually negligible. If there is anyone in this draft class destined to be a Hall of Famer, it's Jesster. He is the absolute complete package.

1. Robb Wind - Winter Is Coming
Right Wing - St. Louis Scarecrows
Score: 1.5625

Coming out just slightly ahead of Jesster to claim the top spot is Robb Wind, the first-gen sensation that's sweeping the SHL. He came into the league with a bang, writing essay after essay and impressing the league with his high activity. While some would say his high activity is a bit overbearing, one thing that's for sure is that he's showed no signs of slowing down and with the largest bank account by a fair margin of this draft class, the chances that he doesn't develop into an elite player are slim.

This should be really interesting, I think the overall time this must have taken you to complete will really shine here.

After this was done, I had five different measurements, each on a Dirtycale with a 1 indicating the best possible score.

Talk dirty to me.

I thought people just copy and paste those?

- Baelor Swift - 07-22-2015

Will be updating as I write about each individual player, from 50 all the way down to 1. Doubt I'll be able to get to this all tonight (although my boss isn't coming in tomorrow so you never know...) but hopefully this update as I go thing will be exciting once I get to guys who are remotely active lol.

My only concern is that since the player write-ups aren't in the original post it won't be graded properly... might want to edit them in after just to be safe.
