For his comments in the "VILHJALMSSON'S POST-DRAFT/PRE-SEASON PRESSER" thread, namely the comments here the discipline committee has decided to issue Deknegt a fine of $1 million as a result of his lashing out at Beansobie . As a first time offender Deknegt will face no further punishment.
The discipline committee is adamant in showing that we are taking a stand and showing that we won't allow unprovoked attacks such as the one by Deknegt and want to set a new precedent. We understand that there have been worse comments posted on the boards in the past but this is the most recent one and we are using it as a chance to show that we are cracking down and just because things in the past haven't been punished doesn't mean that things in the future will not be. We want to make the boards friendly and enjoyable for everyone. We will be doing our best to stay consistent and if you feel that something is suspension worthy PLEASE send a PM to one of the discipline committee members or report the post, we can't be everywhere, and we need some assistance if someone's enjoyment is being hindered. As always Deknegt is welcome to appeal.

Regardless, I don't think the personal feelings of the people being lashed out against play any role whatsoever in DC actions. I think they are more or less just trying to enforce a code of conduct for the league's member's.
