Good evening, ladies and gentlemen. With the 25th season of the SHL upon us, the Montreal Impact have two announcements to make in this press conference. One of them involves the Impact of the past, and another involves the impact of the present and future.


<div align="center">Montreal Impact Honored Jerseys</div>

Last year we began honoring players for their commitment and dedication to the Montreal Impact, a list which had a couple of older players and many new ones. This year we will be acknowledging two who helped Montreal with its most successful run of seasons.



















<div align="center">Steven Jalopski (S13)

Steven Jalopski is a bit of a sparkplug, but despite this was recognized as the most dedicated player on the Impact during S13, as well as the best two-way player they had. He was also instrumental in their cup run that season, beating Kelowna for the second straight season to win back to back Four Star Cups. From then on he has remained a long-standing alumni who regularly is part of the organization and despite his tenacity he remains loyal to the franchise. Because of this, his jersey has been honored.


<div align="center">General Manager: Darian Scherbluk (S19-14)

Darian Scherbluk is quite possibly the most successful Montreal General Manager in the history of the Montreal Impact. He made an impact immediately, making the 4 Star Cup finals four straight years in a row, winning twice in that span of time. His record in those four years was 38-16, an astonishing playoff record in such a short span of time. Scherbluk helped put the Impact on the map with this run of dominance, and because of that he will forever be remembered in Impact History!

The second announcement for the team involves the team's captains. Season 24 had an incredible leadership group, which now paves the way for new leaders to step in and take over!






















<div align="center">Alternate Captain: Adam Falk

Adam Falk was drafted in the third round of the S24 SMJHL Entry Draft, and from then on proved that he was by no means a third round talent. He continued to be dedicated, and was one of many Montreal Impact players who improved a great deal and helped bring the team to the Four Star Cup Finals. He continues to remain a dedicated player and as a send-down he will be expected to help the new players learn the league and become great players.

<div align="center">Alternate Captain: Roman Morenov

Roman Morenov was a late pick, surprisingly enough, drafted in the 6th round behind a lot of different players. However, Morenov made great strides playing behind players like Jack Burton, Vladimir Lidstrom and Klaus Wagner. Now with them out of the picture, it is up to Morenov and Wolff to take care of business on the blue line and reduce the impact of losing those top stars. Morenov was the second player selected by his peers due to his dedication to the squad, and will prove that being drafted in the 6th round was a major mistake.

To the surprise of no one, Jesster will be back with the Captain C this season, hoping to get Montreal back to the Four Star Cup Finals and win it with an entirely different roster. He proved that he had the dedication to be selected 1st overall in the SHL entry draft, and with that he will try and lead the newcomers to the best Montreal season in its history!
