Two years later Joe Namath and the upstart New York Jets shocked the world by overcoming huge odds and almost universal doubt to defeat the heavily favored Baltimore Colts in SuperBowl III.
What does all this have to do with The Big Slappy Hour, you might say? What nebulous connections link these two seemingly disparate, although equally important events?
The answer is absolutely nothing.
