Hans Moleman has quietly come on to the scene and attempted to solidify himself as a top prospect going into the S28 SMJHL Draft. Among him are some of the hottest prospects to hit the SMJHL in many, many seasons. Does he have what it takes to separate himself from the others and become a truly successful first round pick? Kent Brockman sat down with him today to find out for ourselves.

KENT BROCKMAN: Thanks for coming Mr. Moleman, we're very excited to have you here.
HANS MOLEMAN: Thanks, Kent. I'm very excited to be here!

KB: Tell us a little about your upbringing in the hockey world.
HM: Well I started out at the age of 7 years old, playing in the leagues where no one really knows what's going on and we're all just skating around hitting the puck with our sticks. Have you ever watched Felix Herzog play? It was a lot like that. My dad always encouraged me to keep going though, to keep striving to be better. I attended numerous training camps between the age of 7 and 16, as well as playing in the highest possible leagues that my talent would allow.

KB: Your dad was a big driving force for your success in hockey so far then?
HM: Oh absolutely. I wouldn't be where I'm at now if it weren't for him always taking me on the road trips to tournaments, always getting me new gear, making me practice. He is the reason I'm here today.

KB: Now I know you're American. How excited are you to maybe play for their national team in the IIHF?
HM: Woah, take it easy there Kent. As much of an honor as it would be to play on a team that Daniel Merica played on and left his legacy, let's just focus on the upcoming draft. Who knows if I'll even make it that far? That's a team for some skilled individuals. I have no doubt that eventually I'll be that good, but let's focus on what's at hand currently.

KB: Fair enough. Let's talk the draft. Where do you think you'll go?
HM: That's a very good question, Kent. There is so much talent in this draft that I'm not even sure where I'll land. I'm hoping top five overall, but who knows?

KB: What teams are you hoping will draft you?
HM: Honestly, I'll be happy to play for any team. Every team has its perks that I like about them, and I'd be honored to be a part of any team and I would always give my all to them.

KB: Any players you're interested in playing with?
HM: Not necessarily. I mean it would be cool to play with some of the bigger names, the guys who go first in the draft, but if not, that's cool too. I'll just be focused on being the best I can be for my team and helping them find success.

KB: Well that's all I have. Anything to add?
HM: PLEASE FOR THE LOVE OF GOD DRAFT ME ...thanks.

You should be aware that a hockey puck in the nuts hurts even more than a football.
