- Bishop - 04-12-2016 <div align="center">Top SMJHL Rookie TPE Earners (with a Twist)</div> <div align="center"> </div> This is not a straight up TPE earners article showing what each SMJHL Rookie has earned so far in TPE…. I mean anybody can get this information by looking through the team’s rosters. This article will base that TPE total and compare it to the creation date of the player and determine who has earned the highest TPE (been the most active TPE wise) over that stretch. The reason I feel this type of article is important is because SHL GM’s need to know if someone has coasted because they started earlier then others (some by over a month with only comparable TPE) or have they been 100% committed all season long, even though they might have started late and have a few less TPE. This could determine the difference between someone already losing interest in the league and not worth a high end pick, and someone worth going in the 1st round, or even 1st overall. Some presumptions I have made is that every full week should earn a player roughly 8-10 TPE, this if you take into account training (3) and activity check (2), plus PGS’s (3) and PT’s (3ish). In a case of a tie, a new player will win over a recreate, due to recreates having more time to pad their bank accounts and have funds for training/knowing the site and how to get TPE. Also, players with starts after the regular season has started (roughly March 21st) are wildcards in my opinion, as in there isn’t enough time on them to tell if they will be consistent or lose interest, so I have placed them closer to where their actual TPE falls. I am presuming players are to be updated on Sunday (April 10th), so the information I used for this article from then and up to date as much as possible (more updates have happened, but I do not feel like recalculating everything) so GM’s have as accurate information as possible (Scouts you own me, big time  ). At the time of this article, I believe all teams except Kelowna had been updated, so these players might be ranked slightly lower due to this. If there are mistakes I blame the updaters (sorry guys) as I am looking at every SMJHL teams roster page for TPE information and creation date and this is where I get the below information, which is updated after TPE are updated weekly, or should be  ) Also, GM Recreates are in this article, as I think it is important to also compare them to the players they are trying to recruit (Do GM’s work as hard as the players they are trying to recruit?). So let us begin with our Season 29 SHL Entry Draft Candidates, divided into 5 categories (center, winger, defense and goalie) and ranked based on the above criteria. Then at the end I have put a Top 10 list, based on the highest earning players (regardless of position) for TPE/Character Creation, so far this year: *Disclaimer: My manual additions might be slightly off, but they should be close enough as I went cross eyed after a while, so please don’t worry if you are off by a rank or two* Centers: Ranked #1 - (S29) C - Mikael Talo (TPE: 224) – Start Date: March 8th, 2016 Ranked #2 - (S29) C - Nicolas Winter (TPE: 240) – Start Date: Feb 14th, 2016 Ranked #3 - (S29) C - Leif De Bruin (TPE: 228) – Start Date: Feb 13th, 2016 Ranked #4 - (S29) C - Maximus Sarone (TPE: 208) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #5 - (S29) C - Kristiāns Rozentāls (TPE: 178) – Start Date: March 21st, 2016 Ranked #6 - (S29) C- John Jeeples (TPE: 189) – Start Date: Feb 16th, 2016 Ranked #7 - (S29) C - Casper Jakobsson (TPE: 175) – Start Date: March 13, 2016 Ranked #8 - (S29) C - Aronne Zamloch (TPE: 155) – Start Date: March 21st, 2016 Ranked #9 - (S29) C - Patrick Kilgore (TPE: 155) – Start Date: Feb 23rd, 2016 Wingers: Ranked #1- (S29) LW - Harry Hans (TPE: 246) – Start Date: Feb 26th, 2016 Ranked #2 - (S29) LW - Sebastian Strange (TPE: 214) – Start Date: March 20th, 2016 Ranked #3- (S29) RW - Dos Diablo (TPE: 213) – Start Date: March 19th, 2016 Ranked #4- (S29) RW - Felix Herzog (TPE: 220) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #5 - (S29) LW - Michael McHale (TPE: 189) – Start Date: March 19th, 2016 Ranked #6 - (S29) LW - Alex Berkis (TPE: 208) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #7 - (S29) LW - Hans Moleman (TPE: 204) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #8 - (S29) RW - Jack Dabkowski (TPE: 197) – Start Date: March 2nd, 2016 Ranked #9 - (S29) LW - Cleo Green (TPE: 186) – Start Date: March 9th, 2016 Ranked #10 - (S29) RW - Lenard Ramsey (TPE: 178) – Start Date: March 29th, 2016 Ranked #11 - (S29) RW - Stinkywink Dupoopoo (TPE: 170) – Start Date: April 2, 2016 Ranked #12 - (S29) LW - Vince Doplin (TPE: 155) – Start Date: Feb 22nd, 2016 Defense: Ranked #1 - (S29) D - Ilmari Määttä (TPE: 215) – Start Date: March 9th, 2016 Ranked #2- (S29) D - Edvīns Bērziņš (TPE: 204) – Start Date: March 12th, 2016 Ranked #3 - (S29) D - Tobias Thorvaldsen (TPE: 191) – Start Date: March 14th, 2016 Ranked #4- (S29) D - Darian Tupper (TPE: 197) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #5 - (S29) D - Fedor Gregorovitch Shirobokov (TPE: 209, 1 BK) – Start Date: Feb 13th, 2016 Ranked #6 - (S29) D - Barak Obrana (TPE: 191) – Start Date: Feb 27th, 2016 Ranked #7 - (S29) D - Patriks Porzingis (TPE: 174) – Start Date: March 15th, 2016 Ranked #8 - (S29) D – Gorlab (TPE: 171) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #9 - (S29) D - Randolph Grey (TPE: 169) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #10 - (S29) D - Alessandro Fondente (TPE: 161) – Start Date: March 6th, 2016 Ranked #11 - (S29) D - Sergei Fedorin (TPE: 157) – Start Date: March 10th. 2016 Ranked #12 - (S29) D- Hunter Johnson (TPE: 155) – Start Date: April 6th, 2016 Ranked #13 - (S29) D - Gustav-Hans Mohrs (TPE: 155) – Start Date: March 10th, 2016 Ranked #14 - (S29) D- Vladimir Lenin (TPE: 155) - Start Date: March 3rd, 2016 Ranked #15 - (S29) D - Brandon Makarov (TPE: 155) – Start Date: Feb 23rd, 2016 Goalies: Ranked #1 - (S29) G - Casey Holmes (TPE: 212) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #2- (S29) G - Sivy McSieve (TPE: 205) – Start Date: March 6th, 2016 Ranked #3 - (S29) G - Triforce Link (TPE: 192) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Ranked #4- (S29) G - Richard C. Hocolate (TPE: 177) – Start Date: March 27th, 2016 Ranked #5 - (S29) G - Daniel Vann (TPE: 155) – Feb 23rd, 2016 <div align="center">Top 10 Overall TPE Earners (based on character creation):</div> #1 – (S29) LW- Harry Hans (TPE: 246) – Start Date: Feb 26th, 2016 How Harry has this TPE based on his start date is simply incredible, as it literally blows the others even close to him away, like Nicolas Winter, who has 240 TPE, but started a massive 2 weeks earlier. Hats off to Harry and good luck in the draft as our current highest TPE earner! #2 – (S29) C - Mikael Talo (TPE: 224) – Start Date: March 8th, 2016 Another Huge TPE earner, Mikael performs on the ice and off the ice in work ethic and commitment to succeed. However, his recent PT article mentioned he might not be as active during stretchs this summer, so will this have any impact on his draft rankings this coming season? Who knows, but either way this guy is a stud and should be picked very early, if not first in the S29 SHL Draft. #3 – (S29) LW - Sebastian Strange (TPE: 214) – Start Date: March 20th, 2016 Sure there is bias here, but comparing against Nicolas Winter, Sebastian started a full month (or more) later and the point spread is only 26 points, or 6.5 points/week, so with the average being 8-10, this puts both Sebastian Strange and Dos Diablo ahead of Nicholas Winter. #4 – (S29) RW - Dos Diablo (TPE: 213) – Start Date: March 19th, 2016 Another highflying prospect near the top of the rookie scoring lead and also in the top 4 in TPE/character creation date, this guy has all the makings of a superstar if he can keep up this pace. No GM will be disappointed if they land this right winger. #5 – (S29) D - Ilmari Määttä (TPE: 215) – Start Date: March 9th, 2016 This was a squeaker with Nicholas Winter, but again I go with the new player over the recreate who has the opportunity to buy all the extra’s and save more money over his career. Ilmari Määttä had been on a couple of my Rookie lists and I have a feeling this guy has a bright future ahead of him in the SHL. #6 – (S29) C - Nicolas Winter (TPE: 240) – Start Date: Feb 14th, 2016 Another high TPE earner that can play forward or defense should be a very valuable asset come draft day and I expect this player to be selected high in the 1st round. #7 – (S29) RW - Felix Herzog (TPE: 220) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 Again could have been a toss up with Nicolas Winter, so I put them both here, however being a SHL GM, this player is already off the board come SHL Draft day! #8 – (S29) D - Edvīns Bērziņš (TPE: 204) – Start Date: March 12th, 2016 A very solid TPE earner, they could be a rank or two higher, but it is all so very close at this stage that any of the top 10 TPE earners should equate to solid SHL players if they can keep up the pace, this is no exception for Edvīns Bērziņš. #9 – (S29) C - Leif De Bruin (TPE: 228) – Start Date: Feb 13th, 2016 Solid player and higher TPE then most, but his early character start date has him dropped to #9, as I just feel they could have earned a little more TPE. #10 - (S29) G - Casey Holmes (TPE: 212) – Start Date: March 4th, 2016 This was really close with Michael McHale and Alex Berkis and others, but I had to make a choice and right or wrong here it is! Casey Holmes is another SHL GM that will be off the boards come draft day, so by all means select Michael McHale or Alex Berkis as your other Top 10 players! I hope this helps prospective SHL GM’s and Scouts and congrats to those in the Top 10 List and all perspective candidates in the S29 SHL Draft! P.S. – I will be revising this prior to the SHL Draft with year end results, so if your lower then what you wanted, you have time to make it right! ~1850 Words - Wasty - 04-12-2016 Sweet work Bishop! - vbottas17 - 04-12-2016 Quote:Originally posted by Wasty@Apr 13 2016, 12:33 AM - crutch - 04-12-2016 great work as per usual! Can't wait to see where you go in the SHL Draft - WannabeFinn - 04-12-2016 I thought this draft would be deeper than this :-s - TML99 - 04-12-2016 Wow great article Bishop! =D> - BruinsFanatic100 - 04-12-2016 Solid work, Bishop! - pizzarony - 04-12-2016 Snubbed. I'm at 240. /s Great work for real! - Bishop - 04-12-2016 Quote:Originally posted by pizzarony@Apr 12 2016, 06:18 PM Ya, you got updated today to 230 (+10 waiting on next update), but these numbers were from what was on Sunday, so its close but not entirely accurate for everyone. My year end one (as soon as playoffs are over), should hopefully clear up any of these issues. - Harry Hans - 04-12-2016 Another great work from bishop also, thanks for the mention - akamai - 04-12-2016 Thanks so much for the kindly mention! You've been a top producer throughout as well--wouldn't at all have been surprised if you'd swapped me and you! >:D< Also, phenomenal math skills leading to a great article, yo. Thinking about the amount you'd have to do to get to this point makes me dizzy. - RomanesEuntDomus - 04-12-2016 Good job, very enjoyable read I would like to bring up one thing though since you mentioned my player as a comparable a few times, and not always in the most flattering way . I think with the method you are using, players who have created very early actually have a slight disadvantage because for the first few weeks of our time here, there were no PTs etc. So earning the 8-10 weekly TPE that you rightfully assume to be a good average was pretty much impossible for us early on, as we were limited to about 5 TPE for almost a month which makes our TPE-earning average drop a bit. - NONAME - 04-12-2016 Great article Bishop! - Bishop - 04-12-2016 Quote:Originally posted by RomanesEuntDomus@Apr 12 2016, 08:04 PM Thanks for the feedback! Sorry if it came across that way, however i referred to you because I looked at you as the bar to set us too if we had started when you did, so it was more of a compliment As for offseason you probably know better then I I just thought there would be offseason activities that might earn that extra 3 TPE/wk. Either way your TPE is excellent and I will bear your comments in mind when doing the year end review (After the playoffs) - Allen - 04-12-2016 A lotta Crows up top! |
