As a follow up on my draft profile on the elite S31 SMJHL Draft prospects, I will be writing about some of the top first generation players in the draft. This draft pool seems to be strong (my only frame of reference being that a previous player of mine, Hank Powers, was drafted second overall in a previous SMJHL draft solely because I was pretty active on the boards for a couple weeks and had like $9 million in the bank), so it's hard for first generation players to be noticed if they're competing against established vets of the league. These guys deserve some love, too.

LW - Niklas Flower

An addition through the SHL's wildly successful Reddit recruiting campaign, Niklas Flower is an offensive forward that can be a plug-and-play point per game player. With a strong acumen for passing and a nose for the goal, Flower could easily find himself selected in the top two rounds of the SMJHL draft. He's not a great defensive player, nor the fastest skater, but what Flower lacks in speed he makes up for with bonafide offensive production.

G - Kyle Wahlgren

A talented netminder, Kyle Wahlgren is handled by kwahlgren36 and could very well be the second goalie off the board. Like Jason Aittokallio, Wahlgren's a balanced hybrid goalie whose handler already has an SHL job. It's likely that Wahlgren hears his name called before the first round is over.

D - Kristofer Hallfredsson

A member that can already boast being among the best-avatared members in the league, Darth_Invadeher has brought along a good one in Kristofer Hallfredsson. A defensive defenseman with impressive balance to his game, Hallfredsson is building first round hype, both with his talents and his viking ship origins.

Just kidding, I haven't done too well of a job hyping myself up, which is what half of this draft is. Keep up the great work, I'm pretty bored right now and I'm just reading a bunch of articles. Make more pls

Well to be fair I just picked random players from mock drafts and cross referenced to see if they were first gens or not, my bad. Tongue
