- Winter is Coming - 02-19-2017 ![]() I’ve given a lot of thought as to what the future of Robb Wind will be. Parts of me have wanted to re-create, as I feel somewhat cheated by fate which has caused me to not enjoy or improve a good chunk of Wind’s career. However, there have been two things have changed my mind about instantly re-creating. First, Robb Wind is still a very productive player and has a few seasons before hitting regression, so I am confident that he can be a very productive player for an SHL team for several more seasons. Second but just as important, is that I want to see the Buffalo Stampede make the playoffs before starting a new chapter for either Wind or my next player. After contemplating this for a few weeks, I have decided to announce that Robb Wind will in fact be hitting free agency, and I will be hearing what other SHL organizations have to say about my potential fit within their organization. This is not a slight on the Buffalo Stampede at all, as they have a very promising future given the youth of the franchise and the success they are currently achieving (as evident by us being in first place 20% into the season already). I am very grateful for my time with Buffalo, and it’s not necessarily a given that I will be leaving the team; I only plan on leaving the Stampede if another SHL organization can thoroughly convince me that Wind’s long-term fit is better for their franchise, rather than my current situation with the Stampede. Before anyone start’s thinking this is just another instance of a player testing free agency only to 99% likely re-sign with their original team, I assure you that this situation is different. By no means am I for sure leaving the Stampede, and they are certainly one of the early-favorites within my mind already, but I am 100% genuine when I claim that I have an extremely open mind to all other SHL organizations. Before I end this brief article (at least for a Winter is Coming article ![]() 1: Money means absolutely nothing to me for obvious reasons, and no matter where I sign, I will be taking the minimum I am allowed to sign for. 2: I don’t necessarily need to sign with a competing SHL franchise, and I am more than fine playing with a rebuilding team if my long-term fit is best there. 3. If I do re-sign with the Stampede, the following season will possibly be Wind’s final season as a player, as it may in fact be time to start a new chapter for my player. I feel as if I have stated as much as there needs to be said regarding this “announcement” of sorts, and will happily answer any questions you may have for me as it concerns this piece of news. ![]() - Muerto - 02-19-2017 All the Starks will be mine - ztevans - 02-19-2017 ![]() - Wally - 02-19-2017 Not :admirals: - Winter is Coming - 02-19-2017 Quote:Originally posted by Wally@Feb 19 2017, 06:45 PMConsider them off the list then.
