With offers pouring in like sob stories to Lady Diana, the decision as to which team to join is going to be completed sooner rather than later. These will be the final set of rankings with the decision liking coming later today.

The 'Not Happening List

9) Toronto Stars

These have gone from a distant 9th to merely a close 9th. Why? I guess I'm turning into a softie in my old age.

8) Edmonton Comets

Ok, so the real reason why the Stars have gotten closer to 8th is because 8th has dropped lower. I've been trying to see a plan for the Comets long term ... do they have one?

7) Los Angeles Panthers

I hate the Yankees and these guys are turning into them. In actuality though we had some good talks and while it would be interesting to join them and dominate for the rest of all time, there was a certain lackof flexbility that has dropped them out of the running. Let's be honest. The don't need to add a single person anyways at this point.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The Possibilities
6) Manhatten Rage
One of the few teams that I have not heard from and so while they are above the "Not Happening" List, unless there is some big change here I doubt they will be in the running today or tomorrow.
5) Winnipeg Jets
Probably should have put these guys lower. The Jets are sort of turning into the SHL version of the NHL Minnesota Wild - competitive every year, but no one actually believes that they will ever go on a long run. Also, they just sort of never et talked about.
Still, some good people on the roster prevents me from dropping them too low. It's always a factor in these decisions.
Legitimate Candidates
4) West Kendall Platoon
A recent development has kept the Platoon in the group of four solid candidates. A team with history, with some stupid fun people in the locker room and (in my opinion) a real chance to surprise in the next few seasons with some good years. Could easily be the top team by the time I sit down to eat supper tonight.
3) Hamilton Steelhawks
Again, a surprise candidate that has dropped slightly in the rankings but only because I was unsure if there was even a spot for me on the team. Some interest has just started surfacing and it goes two ways so third is about the right spot to keep them. Much of this decision comes down to how I want to wrap up my career...
2) Minnesota Chiefs
High end talent, a desire to win now that they have come so close, and a great management team. Sawyer is the best story in the SHL by a mile and along with Witzel almost pulled off the impossible in this year's playoffs. I could see the rest of my career being a lot of fun, and very competitive, and thats a pretty deadly combination.
1) Calgary Dragons
The Dragons have been one of my main competitors for several seasons now, including this past one. However, should I join the roster we would have complete and utter domination of the SHL arcade in a way that no one could rival. Combine that with the fact that they have a very strong and underrated roster, they have some key people in their locker room, and that they have offered to supply me with a lifetime of chicken wings whenever I ask, and it's a heavenly combination.
But really ... Calgary? I know ... I surprised even me!
What I have learned from this whole process is that the active GM generally gets what they want. While I have ot ruled out some of the teams who have not been as "in" on ree Agency, the teams that jumped on this as soon as they were allowed (yeah ... as if anyone believes that) were higher on my list.
Oh you know :lol:
Just that it doesn't look too good for next season us only having 2dmen with no picks in the first couple rounds.
