Back at home with the Mammoths in tows, the Raiders are hoping to bring victory to their fan in the fourth duel of the season between the two teams. They rested the day before the game and were now feeling fresh for the assault. On the other hand, Colorado did not had the opportunity to rest between their two games as they faced another team during their road-trip.

The first period started with the Raiders committing a fault. Grogan was trying to prevent the Mammoths to proceed in Halifax territory but the referees judged it as Interference and sent him in the box for two minutes. Despite being unable to score on the power play, the Mammoths gained a strong momentum in the game leading to Zbyněk goal before the five minutes mark. The tides turned past the middle of the period. Klozoff retrieved a puck behind the net after Fletcher’s shot and managed to bury it behind Colorado’s netminder. Garland was sent to the penalty box for a Roughing call but the Raiders were unable to cash on it. Krüger got caught for Tripping right before the end of the period.

As the Raiders started the period on the power play, the coach put on the ice the best attack possible. 30 seconds into the second, Boyka Jr. managed to capitalize on Krüger’s penalty and sent the puck behind the Mammoths’ goaltender, Aleksandrov. Jake Brosnan took only a couple of minutes before evening the scores when he pushed the puck behind FourFour Jr. Colorado’s Krüger didn’t learn his lesson after his first penalty and was called out on a Hooking sanction. Fortunately for him, the power play unit of the Raiders was unable to score. After that, only Lukas Müller was noticeable in the second period when it was his turn to pick up a Hooking call.

The third period started slowly for both team, trying to find their momentum after the break. The first team to manage it was the Mammoths as Brosnan was able to deceive the Raiders goalie. Leading now 3-2, Colorado’s Garland got tired of hearing McCarthy chirp up his team all the time and decided to scare him off. The referees didn’t appreciate his Roughing display and sent him to the sin bin. Two minutes after the middle of the period, it was the Marino, the Raiders forwards to fall under the wrath of the referees. He received a two minutes of penalty after Holding down a Mammoths’ player. Krüger was able to redeem his bad penalties of the game when he buried the assurance goal barely 4 seconds into the two minutes. The Raiders fans left the building for the third time since the start of the season without seeing their team win.

The unsung hero of the match for the Raiders was Cody Fletcher. The young left winger had two helped on his teams goals and shot 3 times on the net. He helped with 2 hits during his 21 minutes of ice time.
