The West Kendall Platoon will be having a captain vote every season now. We simply voted for three names from the roster and the three with the most votes get a letter.
This season we got 12 votes, 8 different names, and some interesting results. Beaujeaux and JR95 were not eligible to be voted for, and there were fortunately no tie breakers needed.
Being present on 67% of all votes, our first alternate captain will be Slappy McDoodle! Slappy, longtime captain and soul of West Kendall, is no surprise at all for gaining the respect of all his teammates by his loyalty to the team.
Next up, also at 67% of all votes, our second alternate captain will be Maria Maximova! Maria, still without big titles, recently stepped down as coGM this offseason, but remains a household WKP name.
Finally, put down on 83% of all votes, our captain for the S37 season will once again be Pietra Volkova! One of the brightest stars in West Kendall, Pietra has been one of SHL's greatest community members reaching out to newcomers left and right. Volkova has been developing as a player on the ice, but has already shown to be a true leader in the locker room.
