Thanks to everyone for their patience with this announcement, after having almost no applications for HO we ended up with more applications that I've ever seen for any job before which was both nice to see and made our decision a lot more difficult.

That being said, I'm pretty happy with everyone we were able to hire.

Starting with the new IIHF Commissioner, it's someone who has poured his heart and soul into the IIHF for as long as I've known him, <a href='index.php?showuser=1119' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-3'>artermis</a>!

Coming back to the SHL HO for a second term, <a href='index.php?showuser=2015' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-56'>Xmas</a>!

And finally, the newest member of the SHL HO, <a href='index.php?showuser=2572' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-10'>DrunkenTeddy</a>!

I'd also like to take this opportunity to thank <a href='index.php?showuser=2271' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-56'>Avakael</a> for all his hard work the past 3 seasons. He really spearheaded the idea of a potential site upgrade, and for that reason he's going to be sticking around in an advisory capacity until all of that is finalized.

I'm so incredibly honored to have a chance at this position. This has quite literally been my main goal job-wise for about 15 seasons as I always felt I could give more to the IIHF than I could as a Fed Head. Thank you all so much for the praise, although in the IIHF you're well more attributed to the state you left the organization in and I think <a href='index.php?showuser=1959' rel='nofollow' alt='profile link' class='user-tagged mgroup-13'>dankoa</a> did quite well, being the first to bring forth progressive changes to the IIHF since the mid-S20's and to that, I thank him. I believe I have some shoes to fill of commissioners past but damn am I ready to try.

Eventually, I'd like to see a system in place to replace less popular countries with newer countries, but it wouldn't be arbitrary such as me deciding who plays so as long as Ireland remains popular we should be fine!
