Kelowna Knights banned from playing Fortnite on the road - Katth - 01-03-2019
After losing both road games against the Anchorage Armada the coaching staff of the Kelowna Knights have decided to take actions. They feel that concentration is on the road is not where it should be and have now forbidden the players to play the populair survival game Fortnite on the road in their hotel rooms. “We feel that our players should focus on the games instead of a videogame like Fortnite. It’s apparently so addictive that players stay up late, while they should be resting.” Following some SHL teams who were forced to take actions as well.
The players of the Kelowna Knights saw it coming, but are disappointed nonetheless. Defenseman Karlstraße Scholz told us: “For us Fortnite was a way to unwind and relax and not thing about the game, but it got out of control. Some players are addicted.” Some even think that Sanyi Kocsis off ice issues are related to the game Fortnite. Apparently players also gamble on the outcome of the games. Now the players are playing SHL ‘19, but are afraid this game will be banned soon as well and that they have to read books or watch game footage instead. Centerman Barry Batsbak is happy with the decision. “I didn’t like Fortnite to begin with. The game is childish and cartoonish. I rather play the game Playerunknown's Battleground, also called PUBG, instead.”
