Anaheim Outlaw's Management Change and S47 Captaincy Announcement - SpartanGibbles - 04-26-2019

Outlaws Outlaws Outlaws

It is an honor to welcome you all to this press conference to announce recent changes that have been made in the Anaheim Outlaws Organization. Going into our third season we are excited for what lies ahead. After an unfortunate first round exit last year we return stronger with 0 players being called up to their SHL teams. This is a thrilling season for the Anaheim Outlaws franchise and we hope to capitalize on our upward momentum.

I will start this out by announcing the changes we have made in our Captaincy. It was a hard decision to make with so many talented players and natural leaders. I would first like to thank Hiro Fujikawa(@"Marley" ) for serving the past two seasons as the inaugural team captain. Your contributions extend past just the score sheet and locker room.

The first Alternate Captain is...

Yoshimitsu McCloud(@Thunfish )

McCloud was a late signing during our inaugural season and has been developing well in Anaheim. We believe they bring a strong locker room presence that lifts spirits for our team. McCloud is a valuable asset to our team on the ice and off. We are proud to have him as one of our alternate captains.

Our second Alternative Captain is.....

Jerry "The Snake" Mander(@GCool)

Mander was the first overall draftee in franchise history. A physical presence on the ice, Mander has led the SMJHL in hits for 2 seasons straight. Mander brings a strong sense of leadership to the team and provides a good role model for player growth. Mander has worn the A for the past two seasons with the Outlaws and will continue to do so.

This leaves the spot of Captain left. After many discussions among management and many glowing recommendations the Season 47 Anaheim Outlaws Team Captain will be....

MATHIAS SEGER(@Segi)

Seger previously wore the A for two seasons with the Outlaws and was drafted 5th overall in their SHL entry draft by Minnesota. Last season they lead the team in assists. Seger is a locker room leader and made this selection easy. We can't wait to see the heights they take our team to.

We also have a change in team management to announce. After 2 seasons of wonderful work, Harvey Danger(@hockeyfan) has decided to step down from their role as Co-GM. We here in Anaheim want to thank Harvey for all the work he put in getting this team off the ground and strategic advice. Harvey has been a valuable tool to the blossoming expansion franchise. They will stay with the organization as a coach and strategic consultant.

The selection process was handled by current GM Liam O'Callaghan (@Dangles13). After a few days of going over applications the verdict was chosen among many qualified applicants.

The new Co-GM of the Anaheim Outlaws will be.....

If you couldn't tell by the color of my name by now......

Collin Gibbles(@SpartanGibbles).

I am extremely excited for  this opportunity to help the Outlaws grow. I was drafted with the Outlaws Second overall pick in their first draft and my SHL heart has found it's home here in Anaheim. I have watched this team grow from a young team filled with rookies to a serious contender with depth both on and off the ice. I hope to spend a long career with the Outlaws in this capacity and work at bringing home the Four Star Cup soon. I am extremely proud of the team that has been built here and the pride we take in building new and old players alike. I have seen tremendous growth and many of our players taking on other roles across the league and I hope to encourage that growth going forward.
