Mats was not a playoff guy as much as shanahan
Shanhan just was more clutch in playoffs

Sundin single handedly carried the leafs in the early 2000's. Shanahan was just a piece of the Wings cup run. Switch Shanahan and Sundin the leafs don't even make the confrence finals Sundin>Shanahan

Shanny was a better winner but he also had some of the best players to play in his era. Sundin had a 30 something Alex Mogilny.
