Hiring: Player Updaters - Blastmeaway - 07-21-2019
It's that time again, we're about ready to enter the offseason and that fun time period where regression happens and we get a BUNCH of reddit kids. Are you looking for a job where you get yelled at by others? THIS IS TOTALLY THE JOB FOR YOU. Remember, I'm someone you want on your team.
Pay? 100k per player updated, you earn you keep here dog. You don't do anything? Well then your a lame duck like @Eggy216, but unlike Eggy you'll get fired.
Now time for the formality part of it, I swear im done shit posting.
While we're getting ready to handle regression, we would like to review applications for new updaters to start as soon as possibly the weekend. First paycheck will be the week after Pre-Season is Simmed.
Position: Updater
Reports to: Updater Head
Pay: look above dummy
Spots Available: probably 4
Duties:
Transfer player updates from update threads to player pages
Verify PTs/ACs/training are done completely and fairly
Communicate with other updaters that teams have been completed
Communicate with players/GMs/auditors regarding updating issues
Ideal Attributes:
Attention to detail
Experience with data entry (preferably in Excel) is a plus
Eagerness to learn
Communication skills (most of this is done over Discord)
Other Notes:
No prior SHL job experience required!!
Updating is done on weekends, so availability at some point over each weekend is a must.
Great job for new SHL members to get acquainted with the site

Include references or anything you feel would be beneficial to me making a decision. We will not be selecting new people until we've gotten through most of regression--for continuity/simplicity's sake on our end. So for now, just wait to hear back from me. Hoping for some good apps!
We are also hiring a new Auditor as our current and outgoing @GoonerBear, who has been an absolute beauty, has decided he will be stepping down. Its pretty straight forward job, 50K per page processed in an audit. This job will also be offered too current updaters, so please state if youre interested in becoming auditor.
