Brusky Speaks Out on PIMs - BrewskyBoy - 08-28-2019 St. Louis Scarecrows defender Noah Brusky has tallied 71 penalty minutes in just 43 games played so far this season. That total puts him with the second highest amount in the league, only behind Colorado's Derek Bohne Jr. This is in stark comparison with the 26 penalty minutes that Brusky registered last season. His hit totals have also climbed from 48 in his rookie season to a staggering 86 with a handful of games yet to be played this season. Granted, he has taken on a larger role this season with more minutes per game, but still nothing on the scale of tripling his penalty minutes. Here's what he had to say after his latest game where he registered yet another penalty that directly resulted in a goal for the opposition. Quote:Over the off-season, I went through some vigorous strength training. I'm feeling stronger this season than I ever have at another point in my career, and I'm just feeling the urge to lay the body on people at any chance that I have. I'm playing a more physical and a more aggressive game now and not holding back from going for the hit. While my hit totals have gone up this year, I am not happy with the number of penalties that I'm taking on my way to being a lean-mean hitting machine. As a second year player, my team expects me to be more disciplined out there and not make these kinds of stupid mistakes. There's still a little time left in the season for me to clean up my game before we hit the ground running in the playoffs for our Four Star Cup run. I'm hoping in the upcoming off-season that I'm able to tweak my game a bit to be a bit more disciplined all around and maybe train myself to not go for the hit every single time. 300+ words RE: Brusky Speaks Out on PIMs - dankoa - 08-28-2019 Brusky is a THUG |
