Its not been an easy road for the Kracken lately dropping 3 of 4 and only scoring 10 goals over that stretch an abysmal amount for such a loaded offensive team. Its been hard lately everyones coming at us with there best shot said team captain phineas gold we have a target on us right now and we have always been a pretty streaky team right now we are in a funk. The skid of late culminated with a 3-1 loss to anaheim where the team was outshot almost 2-1 with anaheim racking up 37 shots something a team with a young goalie cannot do. I suggest maybe a tighter defensive gameplan insulate the young netminders but hey this team went on streches last season that made you wonder if theyd make the playoffs let alone win the whole thing. We have winners in here alternate captain joe weston said we have guys who know when to turn it on and right now we are just in the process of figuring out what works the regular season is fun but the second season the post season is what matters. After saturdays performance the team still seems to have high hopes and remain unfazed the locker room doesnt seem to get to down on themselves after losses its this columnists thoughts that this group will put it all together in time the seasons young and the collection of talent will rise to the ocassion maybe just a slight tweak to the system and things will be firing on all cylinders again. Last season they played a high risk style as well but mike hunt is not there to bail them out as much im sure his replacement who likes to be referred to as JABS will be ready to stand tall by the time the playoffs roll around. For the carolina times this is stan savern signing out.
