Daddy's Back. I need money, ask me questions.

It's a little different but honestly not that different. It's cool being in a Discord with older guys who probably have more recent experience than me in the league. I also am now on the same team as HabsFanFromOntario which is hilarious because we used to be friends and I don't think he remembers who I am. I think that's cool, the SHL training was obviously incredible for my player in comparison haha. Then you factor in the training being worth more and more costly each week, it's going to force me to do things like this and the media. A lot of the stuff is the same though, I still get to experience Anaheim and play with the guys I played with for a few games last year. There are guys like Strom Chamberlain that also got drafted to the Jets so that is nice continuity sharing both locker rooms and experiences with him. I feel like another difference is being sent down I am supposed to be a top dog on the team, whereas I was a 16 game player (if I remember correctly) last year that played like 10 minutes a game. It's going to be fun being on both because I think with my last player I cared about I was an immediate call-up or just had one season in juniors with the Whalers. It'll be cool to also help rookies I guess which is different and the same. Fun adjustment, but I definitely wouldn't say challenging yet.

I think in a lot of past leagues I've let myself get consumed with stats, which isn't inherently bad because having a bad player isn't exactly fun in a sim league. So there is a desire for stats, in some capacity. I would like to be a sniper, but I also really just want to win and will try to do whatever it takes to do that. I think that my personal goals are winning the championship and being a good team player. This league isn't really worth starting petty arguments over stats or whatever. So just win, I guess is the answer to this question.

A sniper for sure. My last player was a defenseman and my NSFL players have both been linebackers, so I've never known what it's like to have good offensive stats with the exception of one SBA player. I've never been the guy that scored touchdowns or goals, so I want to be able to do that. I mean ultimately, I want to be a well-rounded player that can kind of do everything to help the team win. I think it's easy for me to get consumed with wanting to do one thing, but I need to realize there is a lot more than just one facet to the sim engine/hockey. So in short, a sniper but also anything that wins.

I didn't pay attention at all last season to the SHL as a whole, so I don't really know what it looks like to have a team that wins or what that build/TPE/chemistry combination looks like. With that said, I think we have a really solid team because we have a lot of talent returning to the team. I think I'm not valued super highly by a lot around the league because I've been quiet in my return and joined at a rather inopportune time, but I think I am a great return to the team and will have my 350 TPE thing hit decently soon. We also have two defensemen at the 425 TPE cap, if I'm not mistaken. That is definitely huge for the team and I expect them to really hold us down in the back. Then you add in that Strom Chamberlain and Rhys Pritchard are both returning, those are two top 7 picks that we get back and one of them is in goal. I think we also get Maximus and Carragher back as well, so I feel like we can win it all. Some sleepers I think a guy like Ethan Price has been active and will make an impact. I haven't met too many of the rookies, but I think we drafted well and are in a good position.

He was probably my favorite player that I've had in a sim league because it was fun. I wish I still had him, he was pretty solid back in the day and would've been even better if I stuck around. I definitely miss the old LAP locker room, that place was very fun.
