@Snussu and I of the Finland WJC management team are very proud to announce the fine players who will represent the great nation of Finland during the upcoming WJC tournament.

Forwards

Falcons  Finland @dankoa Kaarlo Kekkonen© 425 TPE- After some expectations that Kekkonen would be receiving the call to the SHL after last season, The Finnish winger decided to stay down one more year in order to chase a Four Star Cup with the Falcons. Mission Accomplished. Kekkonen was one of the key cogs on the Falcons top line that produced a wondrous amount of offense. After not seeing much success at the international level in previous years, the newly minted Finnish captain Kekkonen now looks to accomplish what he did with Detroit with Team Finland.

Knights  Finland @Zombiewolf Jaska Seppala(A) 350 TPE- After being selected in the top 10 of last years SHL draft, Seppala went on to post a 23 goal season, which was good for 3rd in the SMJHL. Seppala was on the other end of Detroit's fantastic championship, as his Kelowna Knights were the runner ups. Now Joining forces once again with one of Detroit's top forwards, Seppala hopes to give Finland that goal scoring spark that will be necessary to win games.

Armada  Finland @KenitohMenara Santtu Rasanen 350 TPE- Rasanen produced a fine season in his 2nd year of SMJHL hockey, producing 26 points and a +10 rating with the Armada. Rasanen has quickly turned into one of Finland's highest potential players and will be looking to make his mark on this WJC as he likely centers the top line.

Raptors  Finland @lespoils Jean-Uthred Ragnarsson-Tremblay 265 TPE- Ragnarsson-Tremblay produced a solid season for the Colorado Raptors, putting up 13 Points while remaining a solid defensive forward. Finland will be relying on him to help counter the high powered offenses the team will be facing in the tournament.

Falcons  Finland @Murtsi Taisto Jutila 261 TPE- Another forward from the reigning champions, Jutila looks to be a 1st-2nd round prospect in the upcoming SHL draft and he will hope to showcase his talent with his debut on the international stage. Taisto recorded a fine rookie season for the Falcons, putting up 10 points in 38 games.

Raptors  Finland @HemskyIsSic Randen Skog 208 TPE- A defensive minded forward, Skog uses his superior defensive positioning and ability to read his opponents to always be in the right place. He hasnt yet manifested much offensive potential, but his ability to keep the other team off the scoreboard should prove valuable.

Finland @C H U K S T R Dumpstr Chukstr 158 TPE- Chukstr was released during his first season in the SMJHL after failing to produce much development. The forward still has some offensive skill though, and hopes to maybe provide an unexpected offensive punch where none may expect it.

Outlaws  Finland @grantrjt Grant Thurber 247 TPE- While not developing much in recent years, Thurber has still managed to be picked up as a depth forward for the Outlaws. Thurber managed to produce 12 points in 50 games for the outlaws while only playing 8 minutes a game. Thurber's profiles as a balanced forward, and will likely see an increase in minutes then what he is used too.

Kraken  Usa @moonlight Patricia Reichard 233 TPE- Patricia produced a solid rookie season for the Carolina Kraken despite the teams overall struggle to perform, putting up 13 points in 46 games. Patricia is an American who did not receive the call to represent the USA on their WJC team. After extensive research of her family tree, it was discovered that one of her great grandmothers was Finnish, therefore qualifying her to be selected for the Finland WJC squad on a one time loan agreement. Reichard is a very well rounded forward, with no real strengths or weaknesses to be found.

Finland @crutch Jesse Seppanen 155 TPE- An upcoming prospect for the SMJHL draft, Seppanen will make his debut on the international stage. Seppanen is fairly physically gifted, but raw prospect who currently lacks the technical skills to truly make a high impact. However he shows flashes of high potential with his physical abilities that generally outclass other forwards of his age. Seppanen hopes to show off these skills to SMJHL GMs that will be watching.

Finland @sulovilen Walton Stromberg 155 TPE- Another new SMJHL prospect gwtting to have his debut on the international stage. Walton is a more well rounded forward who particularly impresses with his passing ability. He hopes to make a name for himself and impress scouts in this tournament.

Defense

Raptors  Finland @MarlinManiac4 Bradley Barkov(A) 350 TPE- After being selected 9th overall to the Calgary Dragons in the last SHL draft, Barkov showed more of that offensive potential that had scouts impressed during his sophomore campaign in the SMJHL. Barkov produced 27 points in 50 games for the Colorado Raptors while playing a ridiculous 24 minutes a game. Being named an Assistant captain for the 2nd year, Barkov hopes to lead Finland to greater success.

Berserkers  Finland @"Smalinowski7" Jukka Timonen 350 TPE- In what has been a similar career path to his teammate Barkov, Timonen was drafted 10th overall in the last SHL draft to the Manhatten Rage. Timonen put up 28 points in 50 games while playing over 26 minutes a game(holy shit!!!), providing a real punch for Newfoundland. Timonen, like Barkov, will be heavily relied upon to produce on both ends of the ice.

Raptors  Finland @st4rface Aumy Jr. 282 TPE- Aumy had a solid showing in his rookie season and has been a fast developer. He produced 13 points in 50 games for the raptors. After not being able to appear last year for team Finland, Aumy makes his international debut , and will be counted on to grind out minutes.

Berserkers  Finland @Snussu Tinke Jutila 264 TPE- Also making his national team debut is Tinke Jutila. Jutila is a well rated prospect from Newfoundland who plays a defensive focused game. During his rookie season he produced 14 points and +16 rating, making him one of the best defensive options on the blue line. He likely will spend ice time with his more offensive contemporaries, Barkov and Timonen.

Raptors  Finland @asts Anrijs Asts 260 TPE- Another defensive focused defense man from the Colorado Raptors. Despite that, he managed to impress on the offensive side of the ice during his rookie season by recording 17 points in 49 games. He hopes to continue to contribute on both ends of the ice as he makes his international debut.

Finland @WannabeFinn Kolja Kekkonen 165 TPE- Another SMJHL prospect, he got his feet wet at the end of last season by signing with the Detroit Falcons, where he went on to contribute in the championship playoff run. Now making his international debut prior to the SMJHL entry draft, Kolja hopes to breakthrough making use of his offensive skills. While he wont be asked to play a high amount of minutes during this edition of the WJC, Finland fans are very excited to see what this highly rated prospect can do.

Goalies

Timber  Finland @prettyburn Olli Saarinen Jr. 425 TPE- After serving as backup to White Goodman the last couple years, it is finally Saarinen's turn to be the main option between the pipes. Saarinen is a highly touted goaltender who showed off his immense skill last year for the Maine Timber by recording a .913 Save %. Those who watch Saarinen come away especially impressed by the goaltenders sense of positioning between the pipes, always seeming to glide to the correct spot. He will be heavily relied upon in order for Finland to enjoy success in this edition of the WJC.

Scarecrows  Finland @Beastman Jason Voorhees 169 TPE- a truly imposing figure. Not much is known about him. He is said to always be wearing his hockey mask when he enters the locker room and rumor is nobody has ever seen his face or hear him talk. He silently glides around the crease during practice and never expresses any frustration or elation or any emotion whatsoever. It may be in both teams interest that Voorhees doesn't see the ice too often....

Congrats to all that made the team! If you are not already part of the new WJC Discord server, please join here: https://discord.gg/WVpnrR
