In the backdrop of the ragging pandemic and the uncertainty driven by the combative nature of the 2020 preseidential election. Bastions of relief such as the simulation hockey league are increasingly important as a means of relief. This game has created a community that spans all races and creeds, here we can be something that transcends the dynamics that govern our society. When we look at it we really are a coliation of so many distinct issues. One may actual opine that the fundamental nature of sports is that the respite it brings serves as a rallying cry for all of society. For example when we look at the 2006 spanish world cup team it was the first time in a long time that, actually predated tito in which spanish people were proud of their flag. Gone were the walls that separated madrid from barecleona, those of spanish decent and those who were basque. However when sports fall so does the healing magic.

What are we supposed to do in these times when we can no longer rely on what we crave and want to do? Do we turn the television on and spend hour after hour after hour after hour after hour after hour on mindless television? Do we spend time learning new things, perhaps the instrutment you once craved? Do we start to pointifcate on the meaning of life? Do we get outside and embrace nature? Or do we give in to our vanity and start working out in the moot quest to perfect ourselves?

The answer is different for many people, but ulitimately we need to find something. Its almost like the vibes that we got from drinking cranberry while jamming out to fleetwood mac riding our skateboard doing the I5. But for some of us that relief is in hockey.

Hockey in itself is an interesting sport it takes an element that is not natural to man, and pits or best instincts against one another. We are literally and metaphorically skating on the the edge of a blade, that balance between fragality of mortality and the certainity of pain, juxtaposed against the glory of victory. What other sports do we see the physical manifestations of achievements reflected in our apperances. Just look at ovie teeth or the countless player that are spitting chicklets, nuring broken ribs, or playing without ACL. This is a sport that truley forges men and drives the wheel of industry.

Junior cup? What do those two words mean. Is it some qualifer that says that those athletes, nay those gladiators are less than those in the standard or senior level. No it a reflection on the future of the sport. We need to the generation of athletes to carry the proverbial tourch that will ignite the spirit of a nation. Hence when we thrust 8 federations into the world we are creating the catalyst for untold thousands of new teams or players. 

Why 8 might you ask? Is it because its an even number? Is it because it is four times 2? Is it because it two cubed. Is it because it is the square root of 64? Or is it the symmetry of the number? We naturally are inclined to numbers that are reflected in nature? Just think about the 8 legs of an octopus. Or even the 8 legs of a spider. These are arhcetypes that drive our thinking and understanding. 

In fact some may argue that the 8 teams is actually a metaphor for the heros journey? We start as this group of unkowlegable and naive "junior" but as they go through the cruciblle of competition that go through the ebb and flow of success and failiure. And hence even coal ridden teams like Sweden, a socialist paradise and the home ikea can transform into the something like diamond that is UCORCAL a team that is the syncretic blend of our collective unconcious. Power ranks are for nought when the metal of a player is not just the sum of its numbers. Players can average 350 TPE but the way it is spread means that some may have the heart to win while others may be weighed to shooting range or even shooting accuracy. 

Team world a bastardization of our lexicum, to quote Teddy Park, a leader and hero, it is a island of misfit heroes. People who dont recongize a flag but can rally to the idea of beer and commradarity. They are ranked 7 which is one better than sweden, but perhaps still just as bad. In the words of ricky bobby if you aint first you last. Let us pause on that for a second and understand the gravity. How can sports exist when there is first loser. We learn the most when we lose and we find ourselves. Harkening to themes established when batman was young, alfred isntilled a piece of wisdom, in that we fall so we can learn to pick ourselves up. Team world perhaps is that helpless boy as the world has no identity and is crippled by simple things like global warming. 

USA is the greatest team in the world and that is a fact. 

Finland is a smaller russia, what does that mean its cold and it has snow. But that being said fins are part of fish and from finding nemo we know that fish are friends not food so they are a team worth watching. They have some strong wingers and are a threat on the coutner as we seen from histroical peformances. 

British isles are the redheaded step child of the UK, they werent cool enough since the UK also other terriroties. Try making america tax on tea again, see hows that go. Thus dont expect them to have offensive prowess. 

Canada is cold, and really just wants to be part of america. The greatest hockey player of the 2000s was not sideny crosby, he can suck on ovie's dick. And that is not pejorative because we dont judge his lifestyle choices. In reality they are a middle of the pack team, as they countinue to rely on socialized medicine and the complacency that breeds complacency. hence depsite being the second strongest roster they are in the middle of the road.

DATCH is the a fake country because germany, austria, and switzerland are reallly the holy roman empire. And if we remember the roman empire was felled by a single turkish dude witht a gun. And as we know real ideas cant be killed. So this team has numerous obstacles to overcome in order to find hope. 

In summation, we are all doomed and our lizardman overlords will soon make hockeyball an irrelevant sport once global warming takes hold.
