In our third edition we will be having our first SHL attendant, Tom Fiddler of the Tampa Bay Barracuda. His journey unfortunately ended in regular season as Tampa Bay were not able to qualify for playoffs this season.

Lilja: Now that we have our semi-finalists ready, who do you think will overcome the other team in both matchups and why?
Fiddler: Looking at CAR/VAN (also known as the battle of the automobiles), I'd say Carolina has that winning edge. They're a team that's taken multiple 4-star cups in the past and know how to win a championship. Time will tell if this roster is the one to do it, but with sve7en at the helm and the legacy passed down from Fuzz and Trella, its a decent bet. For NL/ANC, i dont know much about this mashup, but Ill take newfies over alaskans any day of the week.

Lilja: We are pretty deep in the playoffs now, with 8 match-ups already behind us. Which result was the most surprising?
Fiddler: The Most surprising is that I didnt actually follow a single playoff game thus far. So Its all brand new to me. I forgot newfoundland had a team or that Anchorage was in alaska, for starters. Always glad to see Colorado fall early, though.

Lilja: Vancouver Whalers seem to have taken their efforts from regular season into playoff season. Do you think they can keep going like this?
Fiddler: Absolutely not, no team can contend with the mighty Kraken. They have the spirit, the pedigree, the compete, and the soul for a championship. The Whalers can only kill whales. They havent the technology for Kraken. They have harpoons meant to wound and track Whales long distances. A kraken doesn't have lungs and has way more arms than a whale. Plus it doesn't have to raise a calf when it is born, it can fart out some eggs and go on its merry way. Plus they can change color.

Lilja: Who do you think is going to win the cup?
Fiddler: Carolina easy, for all the reasons listed above. Krakens are the ultimate champions.

Lilja: Which player has had the most impact in their team so far - and which one has had the least impact?
Fiddler: Gotta be Blunt Man manning the pipes for Carolina. He's been standing tall, making the important saves, and keeping carolina in the games. As a two-time-4-star-cup-champion myself, I know a winning goaltender when i see it. He's playing confidently like he's already won. All he has to do is keep his composure and have faith in his team to score the goals to close out the games.

Thank you Tom, and good luck for next season!
