Hey guys WildfireMicro here and I am here with a sequel to one of my favorite ISFL media's I ever made with SHL Logos Judged By A Graphic Novice. Basically I will be judging all of the SHL logos by branding and look to tell you what I personally think about them. I will be splitting these between the two conferences and this one will be about the Eastern conference. Keep in mind I am not a graphics expert or anything like that so take everything you read here with a grain of salt. This will go in order of when I downloaded them on my phone so without any further ado let's begin!

First we have the Atlanta Inferno, and personally I like the name. The Phoenix goes extremely well with the name and I personally like the main logo even if it is a bit busy. I do consider the alternative logo to be a bit better with it's more classic look, but still a very good logo overall. Also I heard Atlanta can get pretty hot, so Inferno makes sense there. The Phoenix
itself does look pretty cool over the city looking like it's setting it on fire with its wings.

Next up we have the Baltimore Platoon. Huh I just noticed the Baltimore teams from both the ISFL and SHL are bird teams. Anyways I do like this logo and the Eagle looks very patriotic with red white and blue coloring. The red seems to be more of a dark maroon color then the red I usually associate with the USA but still. It's a cool logo but in terms of SHL logos it seems to be a bit average among the rest of them. But an average score is still pretty good to me and I do like it overall. I like it more then the ISFL Baltimore Hawks logo at the very least.

Next up we have the Buffalo Stampede and it continues the tradition of Buffalo having...well teams that are buffalos. I guess it makes sense though when you have a city literally named after them. But back to the logo I actually love the darker green and yellow instead of going bright like many other people do with those colors. It looks unique to me and I like the logo. The Buffalo looks pretty fierce and ready to charge at whatever is in front of it. I do put the look of it in the same average tier as I put Baltimore but I like the coloring of it a bit more. Overall a good logo made better by it's coloring. Buffalo should have more representation in sim leagues as I don't see it often.

Next up we have the Chicago Syndicate and I actually really like the concept of it's branding. Chicago had a history of gangsters especially back in the days of probation so representing it here is a pretty good idea to me. The logo is just alright to me but I love the concept. The coloring is alright to me as well but I just find it overall alright but could be better. Both the ISFL and SHL Chicago logos imply blood with them being a Butcher and a mafia game respectively. Just something I noticed.

Next up is the Hamilton Steelhawks and I almost forgot about this logo until it came up in my phone logo album and that should tell you what I personally think about it. It's alright but forgettable to me personally. There is nothing really wrong with it to me and I like the name because its pretty unique and sets itself from just being another Hawks team but it's just ok to me personally. It could be a lot better to me. The Steelhawk itself looks pretty intimidating . I never personally been to Hamilton of know much about it (in fact I never been to Canada at all. In fact I've never left the United States. Wish I could travel more but money is an issue) So maybe I am missing something here but still it is my opinion.

Next up we have the Manhatten Rage and personally I think this logo and the branding is great for what it is but it could have represented the city so much better personally. Like seriously you are a team located in Manhattan and you did not go for some kind of name based on the Manhattan Project? Like I get not going for the obvious look but that is a huge missed opportunity to me but the logo itself is pretty angry and is a raging bull coming to charge you. Red is a color usually associated with anger so a lot of red in this logo and branding was definitely a good choice. Good logo but I think something else might have been better. But knowing my luck a PBE team might have a nuclear logo but ehh whatever.

Next up we have the New England Wolfpack and I love wolves. I love watching videos of the ancestors of dogs and I definitely love Werewolves so I love this logo, especially the detail of the wolf biting down and breaking a hockey stick which reminds me of the San Jose Sharks logo from the NHL. New England is pretty cold I'd imagine so a pack of wolves doesn't sound too out of place. The coloring is pretty cool and the wolf looks fierce enough so yeah. Pretty good logo here. Yes I'm probably biased but honestly this whole article is biased to what I personally this so whatever.

Next up we have the Tampa Bay Barracuda and good on you all for not going for Sharks or Dolphins so you have a bit more of an identity. Like the Wolfpack the Barracuda itself is biting down on a hockey stick. I don't personally know much about Barracudas or Tampa Bay but this logo is pretty cool. Other then the fact that it is a Barracuda there isn't much that notable about it but still. And this logo reminds me even more of the San Jose Sharks so going for something other then Sharks this time was very wise. Overall a decent logo.

And the last one for the Eastern conference we have the Toronto North Stars and hoo boy. It's literally a rip off of the Toronto Maple Leafs logo and colors from the NHL, like it isn't even subtle. Luke have a bit more originally you know? Like I like it's look overall but I can't help but to think of the Leafs when I see it. I have a problem with the Winnipeg Jets doing this before they rebranded as the Auroras but a bit worse as you will see with the second half of this. Good logo overall but still a rip off to me.

Well that's all I have time for today. I will do the Western Conference hopefully next week so watch out for that and I hope to see you all on the ice.

@WildfireMicro not only are both SHL & ISFL temas in Baltimore named after birds, the NFL team (Ravens) & MLB team (Orioles) also use birds!
