[ALL] Trella - What are some future SHL (or smjhl) rivalries that are super interesting right now or are shaping up to be awesome in the future?

[ALL] Charlieconway - Who's the most underrated player in the league right now?
[ALL] Charlieconway - Is there a player in the SHL you're modeling your own after, build-wise?

All questions addressed to everyone:

Who's the most underrated player in the league right now, and why is it Eko van Otter?

Is there a player you're modeling your own after in the SHL, build-wise?

Was winning awards something you set as a goal for your player when you created?

Of the three GL teams that have been riding high for the last while (HAM, CHI, BUF), which one do you think falls to mediocrity the hardest/fastest?

The San Francisco Pride nearly took out the Toronto North Stars in their play-in, largely on the back of a dominating run of performances by Nicolae Antonescu. How do you feel about the ability of a talented goaltender to give their team the edge over a "superior" opponent?

As a Euro I never get to watch this live and comment with you guys as you go but felt like I wanted to chime in on the low TPE player debate. I think the biggest takeaway for me after GMing a couple of season now with mostly sub 1k players is that players that are below around 1200 TPE are one dimensional. If you use them correctly and don't expect them to carry your team, you will be fine. A 800 TPE player can still be used to great effect in a one dimensional role and be part of a productive line if you pair him with either A) Other mid-earners that can be relied on to take on duties that said player can't (i.e a couple of defensive players with an offensive player or vice versa) or B) Start seeing your lines as 2man units rather than 3, (like a lot of NHL teams have in the past) where you try to split your forward talent and combine two higher level earners with a low earner to create balanced lines. This has already been happening for some time in the league so its not like its a well kept secret.

I think that sort of thing will overall be much healthier for the league as its just plain unrealistic for a team to run with 12 elite forwards. Expansion would definitely help to give those mid level earners a couple of extra homes and, ultimately, would help with longterm parity. It would be such a shame if all the growth we've had over the last year or so was to go to waste because of something like not finding a home for the growing number of mid level earners. Plus the playoff format would be better with two more teams.
