Day 1

As the regular season began.

The opening game was Mexico City Aztecs VS Phoenix Screaming Cacti

As the game kicked off it was a strong start from the cacti and at the 7:43 mark, it was the cacti to strike first with an even-strength goal by Vincent Fox with Doug Glatt and Sam Siege with the assist. as the period went on it was the Aztecs to get the first power play as Luka Kovacsova picked up a 2-minute holding call, the power play was wasted and that was all she wrote for the first period.
As the second period began there was a clear show in who was the dominant side as the Cactis's came flying as they picked up a second goal in the 12:22 with Peanut Butter getting the goal and Hans Graf and Petra Sabor with the assist, The Aztecs made a push back but there was nothing going past Jason Playstation. Then the Cacti's picked up the 3rd at the 16:37 mark with Petra Sabor picking up his second point of the night and Luka Kovacsova and Vincent Fox picking up the assists and that would be all for the second

In the third it was a slight glimpse of hope when the Aztecs picked up their first goal in the 11:16 it was Giannia Kroustis picking up a goal while Mike Oliver and Sami Soderberg made it happen, and then the cactis showed why they are one of the favorites they picked up a quick goal in the 14:50 to extend the lead once again it was Steve Collins scoring and Hans Graf, and Sam Siege both picking up the second assist on the night. To put the icing on the cake Kristian Zenatik slotted away the fifth goal for the cacti's, Adam Wyatt, and Peanut Butter picked up the assists that was all she wrote for that game.

Jason Playstation(Cacti): allowed 1 goal on 26 shots picking up a .962 save percent
Meeka Keprosoft(Aztecs): Allowed 5 goals on 32 shots picking up a .844 save percent

The final score was a huge 5-1 win for the Screaming Cacti

Game 2: San Diego Sand Lions VS Phoenix Screaming Cacti

As the first period began against the two powerhouses of the prospect league and it was the sand lions to strike first at 4:21 Bjorn Viggosson with Michael picking up the only apple on that goal. They didn't keep the lead for very long Sam Siege getting a goal on the powerplay with Kristian Zenatik and Pudge Gortz getting the assists. that was all for the scoring in the first.

In the second the Sand Lion's got right back to how they started the game with Sean Stevenson lll getting an even-strength goal with Bjorn Viggosson getting the only assist but once again the cacti's didn't let up Steve Collins managed to pick up a short-handed goal with Adam Wyatt and peanut Butter getting the helpers.

the second ended 2-2 it was anyone game going into the thrid, it was a strong start from the Sand Lions but they couldn't beat Rusty Rameo, the lions began to lose energy and then it was time for the cacti to get to there game in the 7:43 it was Petra Sabor who broke the deadlock with Vincent Fox and Luka Kovacsova setting him up and that would be the winner.

Rusty Ramao(Cacti) let in 2 goals on 26 shots for a save percentage of .923

Wille Miller(Lions) faced 25 shots and let in 3 for a save percentage of .880

A very close game but the Cacti edge a 3-2 victory over the Sand Lions

Game 3: Mexico City Aztecs VS Tokoyo Yoshi's

Is it time for the Aztecs to turn around the blowout against the Cacti? or will it be the Yoshi's to take their first game of the season. As the game kicked off it was a very strong start for the Aztecs as they took a lead at the 5:05 mark as Eddie Kastraba gets the goal on the power-play with Grogu Mandosson getting the assist, but as the period went on the Yoshi's began to fight back and it paid off they got their goal in the 18:33 minute Antonio Hall got an even-strength goal with Atticus Hale getting the assist.

As the second period started it was the Yoshi's to strike again Jannik Nordstern scored in the 6:08 with Randy Marsh and Sam Badger getting the helper but not only did they start with one they picked up a quick second goal to start the period in the 7:23 Vic Smith scored as Lucas McCoy got the helper. Down but not out it was the Aztec to strike Grogu Mandosson got his second point of the night as Austin MacWard picked up the assist in the 14:45, but shortly after the Yoshi's got the insurance as Chauncey M'Ladee picked up a goal in the 17:10 with Spicy MacHaggis and Sam Badger getting the assist that would see out the second period.

As the Yoshi's take a big 4-2 lead going into the third can the Aztec fight back or will it be another blowout. the Yoshi's started how they left off they began to dominate and pick apart the Aztec it was Jan Henzell to get the early goal in the 3:02 with Atticus Hale and Mattias Zetterstrom picking up the assist, then it was Jan Henzell again to get the sixth goal for the Yoshi's Jamal Nightingale and Antonio Hall getting the assist and that would be all for the game as they control the game and see it out.

Olov Larsson(Aztecs) it just wasn't his day letting in 6 goals on 29 shots getting a .793 save percentage

Bob Hart(Yoshi's) only let in 2 goals on 35 shots for a save percentage of .943

Game 4: Sand Lions VS Yoshi's

Can the Yoshi's continue to dominate teams or will the Sand Lions show their experience, As the first period began it was the Sand Lions to strike first Michael Robertson gets a goal, and Sean Stevenson lll get the assist, but shortly after it was Sam Badger to get an equalizer on the power-play set up by Antonio Hall and Jan Henzell after a back and forth first period it'll come to a close 1-1.

In the second it was once again the Sand Lions to start quick as Konstantin Sellch gets a goal as well as Michael Smith and Patya Perevalov set him up but they weren't finished there Archangelo Scaradog Jr. gets a power-play goal and Bjorn Viggosson and Towelie get the apple but wait they aren't finished the get another one less than a minute after Landon Fischermann gets another power-play goal set up by Sean Stevenson lll and Patya Perevalov, the Yoshi's didn't quit tho they managed to get one of there own power-play goals scored by Ahlo Kysoka which Sam Badger and Antonio Hall set up, that would see out the period with a 4-2 lead for the Sand Lions.

In the thrid it was a determined effort from the Yoshi's to try and close the gap as Vic Smith scored on yet another power-play set up by Sam Badger and Jan Henzell bring them within one but to tear apart the hopes of the Yoshi's it was Patya Perevalov scoring seconds after, Landon Fischermann and Tarquinn Matthew both picking up an assist, that will see the game out as the Lions get in done with a huge win.

Game 5: Mexico City Aztecs VS Phoenix Screaming Cacti

The unbeaten Cacti look to keep their winning streak going as they began the first they started strong as they have been all tournament with Hans Graf getting the opener in the 5:29 with Pudge Gortz and Gabe-Gooney-waters Harrak picking up the assists then shortly after it was Pudge Gortz getting his second point of the night and Joe Average and Adriano Donini getting the helper, the Aztec were stunned but they managed to get one back it was Giannis Kroustis getting the goal set up by Sami Soderberg and Adelle de Pengu that would be all for the first period.

As the second started it was a quick start from the Aztec to try and push back but it was shortly shut down by a power-play goal from Pudge Gortz who got his second of the night with Joe Average and Kristian Zonatik getting the assists, At the halfway point it was the Aztec getting there own power-play goal as Jake Suthermer gets one as Austin MacWard and Grogu Mandosson getting the assists. as they fought back and forth it would be the Cacti going into the break with a 3-2 lead.

but it was the Cacti to show there dominance as they struck quickly it was Vincent Fox scoring the first one as Kristian Zonatik getting the apple, but the Cacti didn't stop there they kept going as Gabe-Gooney-waters Harrak getting another goal for the Cacti that was set up by Xman Damson and Lica Shark, to put the icing on the cake Hans Graf netting his second goal of the night with Pudge Gortz and Clem Fandango getting the assists on the sixth Cacti's goal. That would be all she wrote as the Cacti kill the game off.

Game 6: San Diego Sand Lions VS Tokyo Yoshi's

The final game of day 1 hopefully ending in a bang. As they kicked off it was the Lions to get right to it Tomas Zadina gets the first goal with a lone assist from Leons Briedis, but the Yoshi's didn't stay down for long as Atticus Hale strikes back after being set up by Connor Tanner and Ahlo Kysoka, as the period went back and forth it was the Lions to yet again take the lead as Michael Smith gets the goal and Archangelo Scaradog Jr. but that would be if for the remainder of the period.

at the start of the second it was a strong start from the Yoshi's but it was ripped away as Patya Perevalov gets another goal for the Lions set up by Tarquinn Matthew and Tanner Fox that was the only other highlight of the game at it was a very even game but the Sand Lions were able to slow the game down and play their game.
