Hello all, it's me Jay here, your favorite awards presenter and I have the wonderful honor of handing out Raptors Awards for Season 62. Here we go!
The Troy McClure III Trophy - Awarded to the player that best exemplifies team leadership
S60 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII
S61 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII
S62 Winner: Hans Graf @Drokeep
Unfortunately, Micool cannot win this award anymore as he is no longer on the team. So, this season, Drokeep has won it. Being named captain for this season, drokeep has done a good job being a leader and captain in our locker room. He consistently keeps a positive attitude, and is kind and friendly to all members of the team. Congrats Drokeep!
The Alexander Zajac Trophy - Awarded to the most dedicated player
S60 Winner: Senji Seteki
S61 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII
S62 Winner: Shoyo Hinata @Gordon Bombay
Gordon has been a real force this season. He helped us massively with simming, he's stepped up and helped a ton with graphics work and has been a consistent and active member of the Raptors LR. We all enjoy having him here and he's for sure been real dedicated to the team. Congrats Gordon!

The Nick Brain Trophy - Awarded to the top two-way forward

S60 Winner: Artemius Nystrom
S61 Winner: Jack Nishimori
S62 Winner: Eric Tokke @Graydonsanatomy

Eric Tokke, off a stellar season last year, capped off with winning the Brandon Holmes wins the Brain this year. Tokke had a career year this time around, hitting highs in almost every statistic. He scored 14 goals and 45 assists for 59 total points on the season, and played a responsible and reliable two-way game. He was not afraid to get physical, shown by his whopping 118 hits and 106 blocks, the first time he has ever eclipsed the 100-mark for both. He was a key penalty killer while also having a positive giveaway/takeaway ratio. Career year indeed. Congrats Tokke!

The Bo Kane Trophy - Awarded to the top offensive forward

S60 Winner: Noel Blanchet
S61 Winner: Rinky McDangle
S62 Winner: Gonzo Gobbledygook @tweedledunn

For the third season in a row, we have a new Colorado franchise record for points. Gobbledygook has now set that bar at 74 points! His best season by far, Gonzo scored 32 goals along with 42 assists, both career-highs, on route to this new franchise record. He recorded 268 shots, an astounding number while having well-rounded offensive numbers. He recorded an elite 77 Offensive Game Rating, highest on the team. Overall, Gobbledygook had an excellent, propelling the Colorado offense this season. Congrats Gobbledygook!

The Kristoffer Ruud Trophy - Awarded to the top defenseman

S60 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII
S61 Winner: Angus McFife XVIII
S62 Winner: Jamal Nightingale @academydropout

Now, normally you don't see defensive defenseman win a lot of top defenseman awards, but boy did Nightingale have himself a season. The offensive numbers don't fly out the roof, with 7 goals and 22 assists (still very good), but the other stats paint a different picture. Jamal hit 118 opponents and blocked 87 shots, both extremely impressive numbers. He played critical shutdown minutes while also killed penalties often. His 75 Defensive Game Rating was one of the best in the league and he also led Colorado in takeaways. Congrats Jamal!

The Aleksandr Aleksandrov Trophy - Awarded to the top goaltender

S60 Winner: Senji Seteki
S61 Winner: Zhen Roza
S62 Winner: Recently Tired @Beaver

Although the goaltending situation in Colorado hasn't been the most stable, Tired did a good job at holding down the fort this season. He had a 3.19 GAA and a .898 SV%, both decent numbers, while stopping 1353 shots. What also benefitted him was Colorado did not have an active goaltender that is still active. But nonetheless, congrats Tired!

The Cassius Darrow Trophy - Awarded to the most outstanding rookie

S60 Winner: Hans Graf
S61 Winner: Shoyo Hinata
S62 Winner: GREY Rosey @BleedBlue52

Among the 2 rookies Colorado had, Rosey had a solid start to his Juniors career. Playing lesser minutes, Rosey scored 5 goals, and alongside 15 assists, recorded 20 points on the season. He made his presence known on the ice, with 107 hits and also put the puck on net a good amount. Looking forward to his seasons to come! Congrats Rosey!

The Zinaida Titova Trophy - Awarded to the Seasonal MVP

S60 Winner: Noel Blanchet
S61 Winner: Rinky McDangle
S62 Winner: Gonzo Gobbledygook @tweedledunn

A pattern you can quickly sense here is the top offensive players generally will win the MVP. No different with Gonzo here. Again, a reminder, he had 74 points! New Colorado franchise record. Gonzo was a huge part of the Raptors offense and is our MVP! Congrats Gonzo!

The Scottey Crawfling Bowl - Awarded to the Playoffs MVP

S60 Winner: Basil Sivart
S61 Winner: Eric Tokke
S62 Winner: Rinky McDangle @Eynhallow

Even though we did not have an end to the playoffs that we hoped for, Rinky McDangle stood out during the 10 game stretch. He was over a point per game, and scored 5 goals plus 7 assists for 12 points, all leading all Raptors skaters. Congrats Rinky!

There you have it! Final congrats to Graf, Hinata, Tokke, Gobbledygook, Nightingale, Tired, Rosey and McDangle! Also, I would like to congratulate Hans Graf, Eric Tokke, Zayne Dangle, Rinky McDangle and Gonzo Gobbledygook for your service, time and dedication to the Raptors franchise. We will all miss you, and best of luck in your futures in the SHL/Detroit Falcons. For the rest of us, onto Season 63!
