So I have finally gotten round to doing my first deep dive! This is it! I am extremely new to the whole hockey scene as I mainly kept to my main sim league in PBE but here goes nothing. I am aware that Pau has done something similar, but I would like to discuss the strengths that the players themselves will bring to the team and where they would need to focus on to improve.

For my first ever deep dive I would like to keep things simple and just focus on specific players that I know pretty well and have spoken to as I am on their team. These players are all from the Colorado Raptors in the Simulation Major Junior Hockey League. The players are as follows. Isaac Forty One, the user is Van or C9Van, the second player is Carly Ray Jetson, which is Pauadrian and then the last player is my own player Chuchicäschtli Zopf. So I would just like to discuss their potentials and what the Colorado Raptors can hopefully look forward to with these interesting players on their roster. I would also like to discuss where the players might be touted to fall in terms of being drafted in the majors. 


Let us start with Isaac Forty One and Van. Van is a well known user in sim leagues, or so I have been led to believe. The user themselves I believe has had a previous player in this sim league (The Simulation Hockey League) and managed to maintain their max earning, which is always a massive bonus and helps raise anyone’s draft stock! In terms of Isaac Forty One however, the player is a Right Defenseman for the Colorado Raptors and is especially good at on defence, which is pretty obvious. In general the player can read defensive like the back of their glove. It seems almost second nature to them and do not get me started on their checking. The guy is like Steven Adams, he will hit you like a truck. However, they will need to work on their speed. The player tends to get a bit burnt from the games that I have watched on the sim. However, all in all it is not something that is difficult to fix! They have a great defensive record and have been a great help to the Colorado Raptors climbing up the table! 


The next player is Carly Ray Jetson and their user is pauadrian. Now Carly Ray Jetson has been lights out for the Colorado Raptors so far this season! Carly Ray Jetson has registered 20 goals and 20 assists for the Colorado Raptor in their debut season. This is nothing to scoff at! Absolutely been lighting up the lineup with their silky smooth movement on the ice. If I had to highlight one important ability of Carly’s, then it would have to be her ability to make space for herself and getting herself consistently open. Sure the shooting accuracy is a wee bit low, but that will all come with time. The player has clearly shown true talent and is slowly making this Left Wing position their own once JR Frankenstero makes the step up to the majors. Pau as a user is a self-proclaimed max earner within the Colorado Raptors Locker room, however their max earning is still yet to be seen and honestly, if the user can keep up with their claims, then Carly Ray Jetson should continue to be lights out for the Colorado Raptors as well as within the league. 


Then the last player is myself. I will refer to my player as Mr Zopf because I am an idiot and do not have a german keyboard anymore, so the umlauts are very annoying to use. Mr Zopf has been enjoying a relatively quiet season on defence for the Colorado Raptors. Mr Zopf has even managed to score a fair few times to the shock of everyone! However, in all reality Mr Zopf is a shutdown left defenseman. The aim of the game is to be able to be stronger than the opponents and be able to use their strength to win the puck back and get it to the forwards. So far it has gone relatively well, however Mr Zopf really does struggle when it comes to winning the puck back. Sure Mr Zopf is relatively strong now, however this is yet to be seen on the ice and in terms of their defensive ratings. It will come with time, but I am personally hoping that Mr Zopf can be helpful to the team. On a personal note, hey I’m Aneeq and I am new to the SHL and hockey in general! Some of you may know me from the PBE or SSL and if you do, don’t hesitate to say hi! Glad to be here and hopefully I can maintain earning well enough to be able to help my team as that is all that I want for my player. Mr Zopf is very team oriented and would do anything to be able to help out the squad.
