[GRADED]Deep Dive #1 - Great Falls S76 Draft + FA

James Howlett - C - 4th overall:

Coming off a DFA stint with Kelowna, James was a known commodity come draft time. A strong puck handler with great offensive read ability and a slippery quality to get open.  Also, very strong in the faceoff circle, James should be a rock down the middle for the next several seasons. James will start on the third line but don't be shocked to see him move up the lineup quickly.

Juice Williams - D - 17th overall:

Aggressive offensive minded defenseman with top marks in puck handling, passing and shot accuracy, Juice is a danger every time he has the puck. However, he is no slouch on the defensive side of the puck either.  Fast skating and high intelligence let him read the play quickly and prevent the other team from making any plays on offense.  Juice should immediately slide into that top pairing as well as quarterbacking the Powerplay.

Thomas Hudson - C - 31st Overall:

Tall and stout, Hudson is a prototypical Power Forward.  Loves to park himself in front of the goalie as a screener, as well as being strong on the puck and distributing to his teammates. Predominately offensive minded, but also not afraid to use the body and lay the other team out.  Hudson will start on the wing next to Howlett.  It's not a bad thing to have another guy out there who can take faceoffs.  Not quite as strong as James from the dot, that is something Hudson will need to work on moving forward.

Lee Harrison - G - 45th Overall:

This draft was stacked with goalies, but at 6 foot 6 inches and 288 pounds, Lee is literally in a class of his own.  A huge presence in the net, he can cover a lot of territory even when he's down in the butterfly.  Finding holes to get around him will be very difficult for opposing players.  Incredible movement, especially for such a big player, with a strong blocker and a super fast glove.  He gobbles up pucks like it's no ones business and should see a large bulk of the playing time in the net for Great Falls.

Peter Parker - G - Free Agent Signing:

Parker joined the team shortly after the draft as an undrafted free agent.  Not quite as big as Harrison, at 6 foot 4 inches and 200 pounds, Parker more than makes up for that with his speed.  Lightning fast reflexes allow him to react to any situation.  It's almost as if he has a sense of what is going to happen before it happens. He has a really strong glove hand that rarely lets anything by.  It's almost like catching pucks with a spiderweb.  Lee might be the "starter" but Parker will see plenty of time himself in the web... er... net.

Realpolitik Devious Heghog - RW - Free Agent Signing:

Heghog joined the team just after the start of the season, but immediately hit the ground running. Speedy and agile, Heghog is a pinpoint passer and fantastic at distributing the puck to teammates. Expect Heghog to run the play a lot from the wings and setting things up for his teammates. Expect him to skate rings around the competition.
