Hockey celebrations. 

Who doesn’t love them? As a player, you are going to score a goal eventually. The time slows to molasses and your shoelaces feel that twinge of “hey, maybe it’s time to tie me, champ”. When that excitement of the crowd swells and the crisp air greets you, what are you going to do to stand out among a sea of naturally gifted athletes?

Enter Simon. A Danish social sciences enthusiast who, I guess, also plays hockey. He was an amateur people-pleaser growing up, an assistant of those around him. He just wanted to be a good job for others. The love of attention and crowd-work led him to his first love of stand-up comedy at the ripe age of 16. 

The high school talent show. My god, was he excited for that. My god, they were ruthless. The heart mends and you find a new love. The same essence within a different sleeve. That’s what led him to hockey, strangely enough. 

A walk-on member of the U16 Danish hockey team. How did he even do that? The boy was always clumsy, as slipping on a banana peel was an easy funny joke for the other middle schoolers at recess. The boy was always fast, as some pranks never resulted in laughter and instead persecution. The boy could read offensive situations early to protect himself. Defense, well, just terrible. A decent shooter and offensive mind is what got him on the team.

Watching the sport, he only craved the cheers. He would not find joy in the sport until his first assisted goal. It felt really nice to help someone, he thought. His old center had the most wonderful cellys. As he watched him hop with his arms extended far apart and head moving side to side as he reached towards the center ice. @slothfacekilla

You should have seen him. He was so beautiful in his form. That does leave Simon with a sinking feeling. How will he craft his own dance? What will he perform for the crowd at large? The draft is soon and once he finds his rhythm, he will be able to perform for a much bigger crowd.

Plus, Simon is super cool guy, please draft him so good.
