Each Week we are going to look at 3 to 4 players from Czechia to see who exactly they are in the SHL. The Deep-ish dive will continue to go in Seniority Order for Czechia. Let's keep this Czhit going!

Last week we spoke about Troy McClure IIII , Oranj Konhe and Brandon Gilleyes. This week we have:  Jesus Murphy ,  Andrade La Sombra ,  and Muon Collider!

Jesus Murphy from the sunny side of Seattle, USA is a towering 6 foot 5 center who currently plays Center for the Anchorage Armada. Jesus was drafted with the 6th pick in the S74 draft. This Center currently has just over 200 games with Anchorage, sitting pretty with 180 points in those 205 games, with over 100 assists. Murphy has almost 500 shots and has done very well for Anchorage. Jesus has an over 50% face off win rate, and 7 game winning goals! In the playoffs Jesus has almost 25 games over 3 seasons, and has 16 points in those 24 games. Anchorage is looking for a deep push this year, and there success will depend on Jesus Murphy!

For the SHL, Jesus was drafted by the Hamilton Steelhawks, and is expected to make their debut next season. Hamilton thinks highly of Jesus, as they spent a 1st round pick (7th overall) on this giant center!

Jesus has cracked the IIHF line up yet, but played in the WJC. Playing one season with US (white) and 2 seasons with Czechia. Jesus has been a highlight for the Czechia WJC team, putting up 28 points in 25 games, with plenty of PP and PK time. They have been nothing but a pleasant surprise for Czechia, and we look forward to the day Jesus Murphy helps Czechia win gold!

Andrade La Sombra from the beautiful Gomez Palacio, Durango, Mexico area is a left wing, one inch away from 6 feet tall, 10 pounds over 200, and a knack for hockey. This 4 star cup winner was picked in the 2nd round with the 17th pick for the Colorado Raptors. On the Raptors, La Sombra managed to make the rookie all star team in S74, and win the Four Star Cup in S75. Just like Jesus Murphy, Andrade La Sombra has over 100 assists in over 200 games played, with 77 goals to boot. La Sombra loves to throw their body around, with 441 hits over 4 seasons. Andrade La Sombra has 4 game winning goals, per season, (and 1 this season with 6 games played as of this writing). They are just a scoring machine... you can't stop them! Colorado hopes that La Sombra has one more cup in them before they get pulled up to the big leagues.

In the SHL, Andrade was selected by the Toronto North Stars, in the first round, like Jesus Murphy, with the 8th pick overall, just one behind Jesus.

Just like Jesus, Andrade hasn't cracked the IIHF line up yet, but this year will be their last year in the WJC. Andrade has held their own, with 48 total games in the WJC, 2 seasons with the World before coming over to Czechia and playing 2 seasons with Czechia. They had their best season last year with Czechia, getting 9 points in 12 games total. Much like Jesus, we are looking for La Sombra to take this talent and transplant it to gold for us in the IIHF!

From Whitehorse, Canada, standing tall at 6 foot 4 inch, and pulling a lean 200 lbs, Muon Collider is a left wing who is currently on the Armada. Selected later in the S74 draft, with the 40th pick in the 3rd round, Muon is just like the above 2 players, with over 200 games, over 100 assists. Muon has thrown over 400 hits, and has a good amount of regular time on the ice. They have an impressive +30 ranking, and are 2 shots away from hitting the 500 mark. Muon also has 11 game winning goals. These trends continue in the playoffs, with 24 games played over 3 seasons, and 15 points to show for it.

The SHL rights are currently held by the Minnesota Monarchs, who stole Muon with the 25th pick in the draft. The Monarchs have a great wing with a lot of potential coming up next season!

Muon hasn't cracked our IIHF roster just yet, but will hopefully soon as long as they keep developing! For the WJC Muon Collider has played 2 seasons with Czechia. They haven't had the best time on the ice, but we are confident that this year we will find the right match up to give Muon a great chance to really impress. Even with less than stellar numbers, Muon still has a game winning goal for us from last year, which was hard for us to come by! We are super hopeful that Muon will continue to grow and develop and will be with us at the end when we raise gold!

That'll do it for this one, thanks for reading, see you all next time(ish)!
