EggcrackerHead Office egg egg egg egg egg egg egg egg  EDMONTON BLIZZARD APPOINT NEW CAPTAINS For Immediate Release September 23, 2024 We would first like to take some time to thank Lord Raiden @"Jumbobone19" for faithfully serving as team captain through the twilight of his career and sharing his experience and knowledge with the young locker room. You have exemplified all that is to be an Edmonton Blizzard, and we wish you the best in retirement. After a long and arduous interview and selection process, the Edmonton Blizzard are proud to announce the newest Captain to serve in Blizzard Blue. The current leadership team of Julian Eaglesong (@MN_Moosey) and Dwayne Swanson (@RobJG2) serving as Alternate Captains will be joined by the cornerstones of our future as the team and organization turns a new page, the calm before the storm has passed as we usher in "years of unparalleled success". Leading the charge will be our new Captain, Alexa Johansen (@cake307)! Johansen joins the team as a rookie in the upcoming season, as one of the youngest captains in league and team history, we are expecting her to do great things! Joining the corps of Alternate Captains will be Gwendolyn Telenn (@Revontulete), making the jump to the SHL a season early can be daunting for most, but the former 1st OA SMJHL and 1st OA SHL draft pick is already a proven leader in the locker room, the move to Alternate Captain was a no brainer for our organization. Season 79 will be a season of challenges and triumphs as the team is looking to prove itself against tough conference and even tough division. We will be looking to turn a few heads as we climb our way back to the top of the standings.
