Winters locked out of RIT practice

Registered Member That was what Cyan Winters saw when he arrived to the Ritter Arena for Monday's practice. Surprised and dismayed, he searched for an alternative entrance but all of them were locked as well. Winters describes how he knocked on the large bay windows on the north side of the facility, only to hear the team turn the music up. "It was pretty unbelievable, I felt...betrayed. Lost. Alone. Vulnerable. And a little jealous at the other goalies, getting pucks relentlessly shot at them. I wanted that to be me!" Winters complained in a candid interview with SportsZone. "They didn't give me any notice, any warning. They just kept up business as usual...plus a bunch of padlocks and dubstep." Witnesses report seeing Winters storm away from the arena and expert analysts believe he spent the remainder of the day crying, eating ice cream, and watching Mighty Ducks in his RIT jersey. One expert claimed it "must have been a pretty sorry sight." (Artist rendition of Winters at home following the lockout) Winters emphatically denied these claims, stating they definitely were not true, so it is up to the reader to decide the truth. Winters worked up the courage (not his words) to phone the coach the following morning, hoping to get some answers and more importantly, keys to the padlocks. He did receive answers, but they were not what he wanted to hear, and witnesses report hearing what sounded like a phone being thrown against a wall. Winters denied this as well, but was unable to produce his cell phone to prove it was still in one piece. "Coach basically told me that now that the first game of the year is only a couple weeks away, my presence wasn't needed or wanted." Winters explained that the coach felt that since he would not be playing for the team this year, having him continue to be at practice any longer would constitute a distraction for the rest of the team. Winters time in net during practice simply took time away from his replacements to refine their game to be ready to fight for the starting job without Winters around. "It's pretty bullshit if you ask me. I was still the best guy out there, Josh and Jordan (the other goalies) were totally learning from me. I was like, their goalie dad. Or something." SportsZone also sat down with Coach Wilson and asked him about the decision. "Look, it wasn't something easy to do. Cyan has carried us for years, and this year marks the first time in 3 seasons that he hasn't been in net for us. But he made his decision and that was to not be a part of the team this year. We did him a favor by allowing him access to the facility and even to practice with us for a month, but as we get closer to the first game of the year, we can't have him taking time from the other guys, or distracting them with his draft aspirations. Of course we wish him all the best, and we hope he'll come back in the summers and teach the youngsters. This is just how it has to be." Code: 531 Words / 2 Images

I think it sounds like the Notebook rather than Mighty Ducks. Poor Winters needs a friend.
Thank you OrbitingDeath! <3
