Kovalenko Crying in the airport in Winnipeg to head to Texas for his first practice with his new teammates

Late last night, Leafs and Wadey complete a trade that will send the all-star winger to Texas for Inactive NICHOLAS MASTROMARINO, a Two way forward that can produce pretty good, will try to replace the production of Kovalenko, Terry Bulis who is a Young effective forward that has some potential and will be a good 3rd liner one day for the Jets team. the Renegades first and 3rd round picks.

Interview with Leafs

Interview So why did you make the trade?

Leafs: well Kovalenko wanted to leave the Jets as he wanted a chance to play with his long time friend Saku Perhonen, now he is gotten the chance, we got some value back in the trade to get it done. I expect this team to still compete for a championship this season and I hope the best of well for Kovalenko in Texas and hopes he has fun with Perhonen.

Hall's thoughts on the trade:

Interview are you upset with Kovalenko?

Hall: well I was at first but I understand, where is he coming from and I hope him the best in Texas and he has been such a great player for us and he will be well missed in the locker room and on the ice.

Kovalenko Message to Jets fans and Teammates:

"The Jets were the only team that I ever new and I loved all the fan support and my team mates but this was a decision that me and my Agent had to make as I Always wanted to play with Long time friend Saku Perhonen and I finally get this chance, I would like to thank my team mates for fully understanding for my decision and being so respectful of my decision, also I would like to thanks Leafs for all the help, he did for myself and he is always going to be remembered in one of the best GMs I ever had. It was so tough for me to do this as I loved everything about Winnipeg."

New assistant captains

After the Sergey Kovalenko, the team quickly tried to search for the new Assistant Captain but they could not just pick on one player.

Home Assistant Captain:

Armin Brovalchuk

This young, centre was the first overall pick, two seasons and he had a wonderful rookie season and he is well deserved of being the Assistant captain for the Jets for home Games

Away Assistant Captain:
Jordan Hall

Once know as a person that will only think about him, a Locker room cancer but lately he has been improving in these skills so he can be a Great team mate one day, after signing a long term deal for cheap. he also has been working hard to improve himself on ice almost as much as Brovalchuk.

The Jets have been struggling out of the Gate this season, and a lot of hockey Observers have been saying that this trade will put the Jets team back a couple of seasons as they find a superstar winger that will replace Sergey Kovalenko Production, But do they already have two young forwards that might show that Kovalenko wasn't the only offensive superstar on the Jets team?

Armin Brovalchuk, the first round draft pick has been playing great hockey for the jets, in his rookie season, he got 5 goals and 30 assists which is amazing for a second line player that is playing his first season of his great Career, Brovalchuk has been playing great lately for the Jets this season and he is finally getting chemistry with Young power forward Jordan Hall.

Jordan Hall, Power forwards take a long time to develop into superstars but Hall has been playing some of the best hockey of his life this season and is on pace for a 20 goals, this season which will be a career high for his young career, This career didn't start as good as he got 6 points in 51 games during his rookie season and 23 points in 50 games in his second season, but i n his third season he has been playing great two way hockey and has been a very important member of the Jets team. Him and brovalchuk look to lead this team for the next 5-10 seasons as they are both young and loyal to this hockey club.

What will Ron Mexico do? and who is the next winger to play on his line?

One of the best players in SHL History, Ron Mexico has shown amazing chemistry with Sergey Kovalenko and this season we will be finding out what they both can do with out each other, Ron Mexico has dominated way before Kovalenko coming to the jets but he is aging and he had the best season in SHL history last season, was it his doings? Kovalenko doings? or was it the chemistry that they had each other and both of them will struggle?

NICHOLAS MASTROMARINO will be playing alongside Ron Mexico and Zach Cuff on the teams top line awhile the second line of Jordan hall. Armin Brovalchuk, St.louis will keep intact. This was kind of shocker as many people were saying hall will be replacing Kovalenko on the top line but leafs, thinks that the line of Hall-brovalchuk-St.louis have developed some chemistry together and will be staying together unless the first line struggles the next 5 games or so.

Interview with Jordan Hall:

Interview What do you think about the Jets struggle this season?

Hall: I think we are just having a slow start and we will get back on track, and make the post-season and try out hearts out to win the Challenge cup this season.

Interview But you were struggling with Kovalenko, you don't think him leaving will harm the team what so ever?

hall: yes him leaving will affect the team a lot, his presence in the locker room is going to be missed but I am confident that this team is still an élite team and have a lot of options to replace his scoring.

Interview Many people think the Jets will falter for the rest of the season and will be a bottom feeding team?

Hall: you can't really judge a team after a big trade like that unless you have them seen some games and seen their chemistry/ and talent for it self.

Interview who do you think we replace Sergey productions?

Hall: I dont know, I really can't read the future.

Interview Do you think you will get a chance to play on the Top Line?

hall: maybe and I always wanted to play with a player like Ron Mexico as he is a wonderful player and I think me and him could have some chemistry on the ice together, He is a gifted playmaker and i am a strong, physical scoring winger. I think we are a perfect fit to play together.
