Kovy To Texas



At 6AM this morning after the blockbuster trade between the Texas Renegades and Winnipeg Jets, Sergey Kovalenko landed in Dallas, Texas the home of the Renegades. Kovalenko participated with the club this morning as the team got ready for their next game. The coaches speculate that Kovalenko will be put on the first line with Saku Perhonen and Elias Armia which would make it one of the top lines in the SHL. Kovalenko did basic drills and developed chemistry with his new team. After a slow start to the season after a amazing offensive performance last season Kovalenko expects to get back into the groove with Texas as they are on a hot streak currently.


Kovalenko Speaking with Assistant Coach

Breaking News came about today as TJ Barbeau gave up his assistant captain duties and gave them to Kovalenko.

Kovalenko had this to say.. "Wow that is truly generous of TJ to do that and I definally will be the same leader I was with Winnipeg and Team Russia. Texas wont regret me being one of the leaders of this team. TJ just approached me and said im giving you the "A" I was in shock he is amazing teammate for doing that"

Kovalenko also spoke about the city of Dallas itself... The city is very beautiful with alot to do and its great being in a city with so much culture and I think I will really enjoy myself here, like i said when i asked for this trade, Texas just felt right and I feel this is where im going to retire whenever i decide to hang up the skates.

yea i did a small little "jacket swap" IMO i should get paid just a "tad" bit more
