Larade ends career with RIT, Joins the NWJHL
#1

From the major city of St. Louis, MO, Curtis Larade started his hockey career off at the young age of 6 years old. Playing travel hockey up until he was 16, he then played two years with the Green Bay Gamblers of the USHL. Taking the Gamblers to their first Anderson Cup in 14 years, he recorded 7 goals and 14 assists with a plus-minus of 21. He added six more points (3-3-6) in the 7 play-off games he appeared in.

Joining RIT after being recruited, Larade posted a great rookie season, appearing in 39 games. He tallied 12 points with 2 goals and 10 assists, notching up a plus-8. He also recorded the assist to the famous game winning goal over UNH in the NCAA tournament semi-finals. During his Sophmore season he recorded 20 points with 5 goals and 15 assists. He recorded the 2nd best plus-minus rating in Division I history with a plus-28, being inducted onto the All-AHA 2nd team. In his final year with the Tigers, Larade was injured and limited to 14 games. He recorded 9 points, 2-7-9, being named MVP in the Catamount Cup hosted by Vermont.

At 5'10" many critics say that he is too short to be an effective defensive d-man. He thrives off of this criticism. He excels in the tough areas of the game and is quite strong. His defensive awareness is top-notch for players his age and his passing can really help the breakout get going. Being 5'10", his skating ability and puck handling is above average compared to most D-men.

Larade watched his former team mate, Cyan Winters, jump ship from the Tigers and be drafted #10 overall. His newly acquired agent recommended that he should do the same and battle the free agent market. Larade is willing to listen to any offers, but his heart does currently lie with the Knights due to a former team mate.

Thanks,
Curtis Larade, Defenseman
