Ansev's Suspension Reduced To 10 Games With No Fine

Early this morning the SHL commish told reported that Victor Ansev's suspension is reduced and he would not face a fine. This is what the commish had to say about the matter, " Ansev did commit a suspenable action but it was a mistake and with the evidence provided to us ad with his appeal we decied to shorten the suspension and no fine, going from 5million to nothing". This is great news for Texas, with the lack of depth on the wings this means Ansev will get instanst action for them and only miss 10 games, in those missed 10 games Ansev will be in the stands cheering and rooting his team on.

In my eyes, this was the right call to make by the league because it was all a big misunderstanding and im not sure it wont happen again. We caught up with Ansev after the details about the appeal and this is what he had to say, "I would like to thank the league for making the right decision and I accept my 10 game suspension and this will never happen again, I look forward to the start of the season and I'll see my teammates at training camp which starts later today".

This is great news for Ansev and Texas, for several other reasons than stated before. Alot of people said during the draft this is why Ansev fell to the 2nd round because of the long suspension that would have him miss most of this season but with it only being 10 games you have to wonder where he might of went in the draft or would he have still fell to Texas?. Another major reason that this is good for both team and player is that the team becomes a major playoff contender with such a great talents added to the line up and there is a chance Ansev could win rookie of the year, with playing with guys such as Armia and the rest of the crew, only time will tell what these Renagads can do, and I cant wait to see it.

It was easy choice to pick one of the highest TPE and most active players in the draft that late, and with missing only 10 games you'll barely miss a beat.
