Hey there Folks and Welcome to the James Duthie show!. Today we are honoured to have Defensemen Drizzy Drake from the Calgary Dragons on our show. After a great start to his career, and having his ups and downs, Drake opens up about his future, his play, His recent suspension,etc. After having a career year last year Drake will unfornetly sit out this year for 25 games. Today we will talk to him about everything, coming up right after the break.!

Hey Drizzy, i know you havent done any interviews lately, but i want to thank you for coming here and being with us today, its an honour to have you here.

Thanks James, Its been quite the week and im glad i could do this again. Always a great time when i do.

Alright so how is it going, its been quite the whirlwind of a ride for you lately.

YEa it definitely has you know. But mistakes happen and this is all part of the learning process. You learn from ur mistakes and i want to look at this positivly.

Personally a great year for you last year statiscally, You led all defensemen in points with 46 points in 49 games. Led the league in assists with 38, 106 hits, 78 shots, 1207 minutes played, i mean you had a great year, ur best yet. What was the key to sucess for all this?

Well first of all, none of this would have happend without my teammates here. Mostly my D partner Smirnov, ever since i started playing with him i learned and improved by the Day. Hes a great player and a great guy. I had alot of fun feeding the puck to webb because i know he could always produce. He is truly a legend. Its just all thanks to my teammates i could have done this. They taught me a lot, and told me what i needed to work on,etc. Secondly, i would say the determination. I really wanted to have a good year and after putting in alot of work in the off-season it finally payed off. I dont want to stop, i just want to keep on improving. Mostly its the confident that helps u the most. When you are confident you make the plays u normally woudnt. Its just all worked out for me this year and i hope i can even come back stronger next year, when i do.

Speaking of returning next game, can you speak to us about ur suspension? You are suspended 25 games and were fined 2 million for stealing 3 tpe and what is known to be creating 3 fake accounts?

Yes since its already out there i dont mind talking about it. I am happy to admit my mistake. This happend long long time ago, maybe 3 4 seasons ago when i first joined. Zanmatto442(big papi) or somehintg is actually my brothers account. it was legitimately his and he told me to make it for him he was sitting right next to me at that time. Hes 19. I didn't know that you could not take recruitment points for Recruiting family at that time cause i was brand new so i put him down as my recruiter. the other accounts were odi123 and rayo something. I made those accounts, but there are my nephews accounts. He likes hockey so i made him a account. But it was wrong because my nephews are young and they just want to play hockey what are they going to do on a forum llol. Once again i took 2 recruitment points for that. I probably shouldn't have done that. Its family and i shouldnt have taken any recruitment points from that. IT was the wrong thing to do. I have never ever been suspended before, but i am happy it is over with. You learn from you mistakes and i am looking at this positively and happy to move on.

I understand, That was quite the year for the recruitment drive i remember. Do you think the 25 game suspension + 2 million fine is a bit harsh.

It was a great job by the commissioners to catch my mistake. In fact i completly forgot about this incident to. I shoudnt have done it period. I respect there descision. I was more then happy to cancel out 3 tpe from my player. 25 games is alot, i was hoping it wasnt going to be that much *laughs*. But the problem isnt about the tpe, its about doing the wrong thing. And i have done the wrong thing and it wont happen again. I apologize to my team and to everyone. Its time for me to be a better person and be myself.

You Contract expires in S14, do you see yourself Resigning with the dragons?

I dont really want to talk about that right now. I am more then happy to be a dragon right now. Class organization and im loving it there.

With the ryan jesster MVP award of the Calgary dragons announced yesterday. Were you shocked that Ryan jesster won and you didn't after a career year.

Shocked? Are you kidding me. I was happy. This guy deserves it 100%, he changed our season around. He is a living legend, if i were the GM i would have given it to him to. He is a class act it was an absolute honour playing in front of him. Really couldn't have been a better candidate to give it to. Jesster is a great guy and im really happy for him.

What do you think about the Calgary dragons draft this year.

[b] As usual it was great. Snappy is a gem and so are all the other guys on our team. Im really happy with our new additions. I just hope snappy can carry all my equipment now. : :lol:

Now with the suspension, why dont you appeal? and also what do you plan on doing this season as u miss 25 games.

I dont know. I respect there descision and what i did was wrong. Im just looking at whats next. I keep training and working hard. I want to keep improving and just helping myself and my teammates.
