S18 Post Game Show - Day 34
#1

Finally have the time to get this done.

<div align="center">Game 58 - St. Louis Scarecrows vs. Regina Force
Final Score: Scarecrows win 1-0</div>

These two are both teams that are trying to find their way in this young season. They have been as inconsistent as can be but have both shown the potential to have excellent performances. The Scarecrows would turn to their backup goaltender, Dominik Makarov, in order to try and beat the Force. Luckily for them, Dominik stopped every shot he faced and the Scarecrows were able to get a timely goal to win 1-0.

The Scarecrows controlled the tempo and were by far the more crisp team in the matchup. The defense of St. Louis stifled every offensive opportunity the Force had. Regina finished with just seventeen shots on goal while the Scarecrows had over thirty. When asked about his teams play, Isaac Mute had this to say: "We really were not good enough. They had every opportunity to do what they want while they also protected their goaltender. We let Kevin (Griffin) down and we need to be a lot better next time."

By far the star of the show for Regina was Kevin Griffin with his thirty-one save performance, but it unfortunately did come in a losing cause. The Force hope to bounce back going forward but they need to start generating some offense for this to be the case.

<div align="center">Game 59 - Detroit Falcons vs. Montreal Impact
Final Score: Falcons win in a shootout 2-1</div>

The Detroit Falcons have been a tower of power so far this season. They have been consistently beating tough team after tough team, and doing so with a lot of style. Meanwhile, the defending champion Montreal Impact have had an up and down season. They started out strong but then went on a terrible streak that saw them lose eight of nine.

For this reason it was a big surprise to see the Falcons play arguably their worst game of the season. They would have just nine shots during regulation and only added two more in the overtime. The Impact were not firing on all cylinders offensively but their defense really shined when counted on. Regulation would end in a one-to-one tie after goals by Mikko Kalash and Jamal Starr.

Overtime would solve nothing and a long shootout would take place that saw twelve different shooters take their turn. At the end of the day it would be Valts Pasavars that would get the job done and bury one past Dymo Ranjan for the win. The Falcons would get the job done even when playing one of their worst games of the year. It seems that is just the kind of season it has been for Detroit as they cannot do anything wrong.

<div align="center">Game 60 - Kelowna Knights vs. St. Louis Scarecrows
Final Score: Scarecrows win 4-3</div>

The Scarecrows appear to be on a roll as they try to make the climb in the Eastern Conference. The Knights have been so-so at best throughout this young season and try to end the streaking Scarecrows with a decisive victory in the sixtieth game of the SMJHL season.

The Scarecrows struggled to control the puck as Kelowna played a tight game defensively. Unfortunately the Knights, Aboud Chamas would get lit up for four goals on fifteen shots, while Dominik Makarov was just slightly better surrendering three goals on twenty shots. For the Knights, it would be Magnus Vikstrand that carried the offense recording two goals and adding an assist in the loss. Meanwhile, Roland Wolf and Drewiskie Dale generated enough offense to help the Scarecrows win and keep their hot play rolling.

St. Louis has now won three in a row while Kelowna has lost three in a row. It seems that these are two teams going into quite opposite directions with potentially no end in sight.
