Game 48 - 50

Game 48

Falcons @ Knights
Big match up in this one as we get to see two top teams go at it. If you like goals you would have like this 1st period. Detroit's first overall selection Asbjørn Alexandersen started off the scoring after taking a nice pass by Alex Mack but Kelowna responded quickly with newly appointed captain Ales Smirnov ripping home his 4th of the season. Kelowna would take the lead on the powerplay with a nice slap shot by William Kvarnvall but Detroit would tie it up shorthanded late in the period. No goals in the 2nd. Kelowna would take the 3-2 lead in the 3rd early on and looked to control the game until Alexandre Sauvé would tap home the game tying goal and just 2 minutes after that we would see Bubba Nuck fire home his 7th of the year to give Detroit the lead that they would hold on to.

1 - Bubba Nuck (DET)

Game 49

Whalers @ :force:
High scoring Vancouver Whalers would score quickly in this one with Drew Myers taking a shot at the point just 2 minutes in. Regina would respond on the powerplay in the middle of the period with Brandon Pomery shooting past a screened Erik Lundqvist. Just two minutes after that Regina would take the lead on the powerplay with a Connor O'Reilly goal. His second of the year. Deacon Douglas would increase Regina's lead to 2 goals early on in the second but just 16 later Cole Hogan would bring the lead back to 1. Would do much as Regina held the lead in the 3rd to upset Vancouver.

Game 50

Knights @ :impact:
Montreal would get a powerplay about six minutes into the game and Oferyn Martell would capitalize on it giving them the early lead. Tanner Carter would respond just over a minute later to tie things up at 1. Take you to half way in the 2nd. Vladimir Lidstrom would take a nice pass from Vuro Vlaters and put home his 1st of the year. Minutes after that Ryan McDonagh would throw a weak wrister on net to tie things back up heading into the 3rd. Five minutes into the 3rd Ales Smirnov would one time the game winner on the power play as Kelowna shut down Montreal and only allowed 1 shot in the entire 3rd.
