Tyson Apostol has decided to leave the local leagues of the Provo Utah area and attempt to join the smjhl. He is here to answer any and all questions any scouts, players, members of the media or GM's may have.

Interview
What made you decide to make the jump to the SMJHL?
I was encouraged to make the transition from family and friends. My skill level was just not being tested in the Peaks Adult Hockey League in Provo.

Interview
What are you doing to get yourself noticed by gms?
Interviews like this one and proving I'm committed to training.

Interview
What is a normal day of training like for you?
start off with cardio early in the morning before practice on the ice and then spending time in the gym. I can't reach my goals if I don't work towards them.

Interview
What team would you like to play for the most in the SMJHL?
St. Louis and Detroit are top of the league, I love winning and they're American. I would have to say either of them would be where I want to go but I really just want to get on the ice.

Interview
Which NHL or SHL player would you compare yourself to or look up to ?
I'm just learning about the SHL and not too sure who I could compare my self to, but Joe Sakic and Steven Stamkos are who I model my game after.

Interview
Can you handle the pressure of stepping into such a talented young league?
Yes. I know my skills are developed enough to handle the league without feeling overwhelmed.

Interview
What do you look for in a teammate?
Someone who can protect the puck and give out some break out passes.

Interview
How would you describe your style of hockey?
Shoot first and hit big. I've focused on developing my shot and overall physical ability.

Interview
Utah is not exactly a hockey hotbed. Can you tell us about your unique journey from Provo to the SMJHL?
Utah is growing in hockey fans and players but just doesn't have enough ice. I joined one of the few leagues, Peak Adult Hockey League, and quickly topped the scoring charts. I knew I still have a lot of developing and growing to do but felt like I had already hit the ceiling of that league. Thanks to some friends and family they have supported my decision to leave Utah and really focus on developing and growing as a player/person.
