Championship Week - Goaltending Matchup
#1

Ciarelli vs Lundqvist

Goaltending is a factor in this matchup. Earnest Ciarelli is as good as it gets, putting up career numbers and leading his squad to finals while stonewalling all who gets in front of him. Ciarelli said to be a hot prospect for the New England Wolfpack and star goalie for the Montreal Impact prepares to face off against;

Goaltender Erik Lundqvist of the Vancouver Whalers. Erik not having the strongest season is having a strong playoffs. Taking his whalers right to the finals, Vancouver "Pre-season champions" got cocky and finished last in the West and in the League.

Goalie's will be vital in this series as both teams have found the back of the net numerous of times in the playoffs when it seemed impossible. If both goalies can stay sharp this should be a fairly long series. Possibly 6 to 7 games, it honestly depends on which goalie lets up first.

Defense is key in this match up also which helps the goalies out, we're focusing on if the defense fail. In a veteran perspective, Erik has Earnest beat. Erik has been situations like this in a series and has never failed to impress. On the other hand Earnest is always good in pressure situations and is why he is a prospect for the New England Wolfpack.

So if you pay attention to this series, it's a no brainer you'll be seeing these guys stars of the show. Possibly the best goalies in the league in this match up on showcase. The playoff MVP should be one of these goalies if they play the way both of them can play. Watch out, this is the goalie showdown of the playoffs.
So let's pay attention to this series and you'll see on how right I was. :lol: Breaking it down, Erik Lundqvist is more vital to his teams success.
