Whaler's Tale Issue 5

MY GOD, ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE I'VE SEEN YOU FUCKERS

Anyways, Hello everyone! It has been a long time since I've seen you all, 37 games to be exact. While the Whalers are still top of their conference two points behind the President's Trophy as well, the Whalers have gone from 3 losses total to a total of 21 losses. A big losing streak is to fault for that and many of the Vancouver Whalers top forwards going cold for a while, Anyways lets look at how the Whalers have done for the season . Oh boy, my fingers are going to burn after this XC

PS. I MISSED 2 games somewhere, SORRY BITCHES!

Game 13 Whalers @ raiders
Road game for the Whalers, the start of the losing streak for the Whalers, anyways, game 13 was bad luck for the Whalers even though the Whalers scored first with Julie-Anne Marshall scored his 2nd goal with an assist from Curtis Crawford two minutes in. Halifax would not stand still though as Carter Rosston who has had a very good year already scores his 5th of the year 10 minutes after the first goal.

Ingant Ogorodnikov taking a elbowing penalty cost the Raiders as the leading goal scorer at the time, Bure scored his 7th goal to take back the lead heading into the second. Xaiver Barkov scored his 1st goal in his career 18 minutes into the slower 2nd period as they tied the game up.

Conall Macleod came into the 3rd period scoring his 3rd giving the Raiders the lead for the first time of the night 4 minutes in. Jack Durden, after a penalty to Dizzy Cleghorn was called for roughing, tied the game again. The Raiders struck back and won the game after 2 goals by Carter Rosston and Connall MacLeod scored 2 goals to give the Riaders the win.

Game 14 :impact: @ Whalers
Home game this time, game started off bad for the Whalers as 10 minutes into the first period, the Montreal Impact scored as Michael Gerrard gets a beauty of an assist by Lord Pretty Flacko and Alexander Wolff on the Powerplay. Jordan Mack would strike for the Impact's Second goal of the night 4 minutes later before heading into the 2nd

Johnny O'Leary came into the 2nd and gave the Impact the 3-0 lead just 7 minutes in off an rebound from Zunino. Julie-Anne Marshall took a tripping penalty for the Whalers and head to the box although it worked out for the Whalers as Durden won the faceoff as Patrikov Bure baited the Impact to attack as he gave a lob pass to give Jack Durden the breakaway as he scored to make it 3-1 Impact. Roman Morenov took a hooking call late in the period as it continued to go through the 3rd period. Patrikov Bure made the Impact pay again as he scored a powerplay goal to make it close. The 2 teams battled it out but at the 13th minute mark, Evgeni Karpotsov scored his 3rd proving to be the game winner as Jack Durden scored one to make it 4-3.

Game 15 Whalers @ Knights
While normally these two teams love checking and taking penalties against each other, the first period had no penalties but had a goal as Patrick McEichel caused a rebound where Patrikov Bure buried the first goal with his 9th of the year.

2nd Period had Dominik Fleet take a penalty as the Whalers went on the powerplay where Patrikov Bure returned the favor as he gave Patrick McEichel scored his 7th of the year. Jonathan Lundberg however scored later in the period making the game a 2-1 lead for the Whalers. However that's all the Knights could muster as Jack Durden scored the 3rd goal of the game off an assist from Captain McZ

Game 16 Whalers @ Scarecrows
The game started off slow till 14 minutes in where Ben Troy scored his 6th of the year as the Scarecrows scored to make it 1-0. Whalers weren't able to solve Sergei Kozar for the 1st period. Diego Ramirez took a penalty which cost the Whalers as the English defencemen Winston Windsor scored a powerplay goal to tie the game. 3rd Period had Alaina Silvia score her 3rd as the game winner for the Whalers

Game 17: Mammoths @ Whalers
The Whalers had problems beating the Mammoths all season and this game was no exception, Sum Ting Wong, Don Pellagrino, and BJ Subban scored 3 goals in 10 minutes as they took a 3-0 lead heading into the 2nd period. Sum Ting Wong fought Paska Jakaitis early in the first but Paska was taken down as he was ejected from the game. Kristoffer Ruud who scored a powerplay goal poured salt in the wound as the Whalers struggled to get back and ended Tyler NoNerves' night as Gavin Trent came in the net. Despite 3 goals in the next two periods, 1 by McEichel in the 2nd, and 2 by Valentin Makarov and Diego Ramirez made it close but could no complete the comeback

Game 18: Knights @ Whalers
This game followed the usual amount of penalties for the Whalers and Knights as the Whalers took quite a bit of penalties this game. Anyways Vlad McZ scored the first goal of the game off a rebound from Jack Durden. 2nd Period had Bure score a powerplay goal to make the lead for 2-0 Whalers. That's all the Whalers could muster as The Knights stormed back off a goal from Mainio Makinen which then lead to two goals by depth players (I'm not going to spell those names NOT WURF) as the Knights completed the comeback.

Game 19: raiders @ Whalers
The beginning of the Whaler's winning streak started with a very slow game, no goal was scored till the 2nd period between these two teams as both goalies stood tall. Patrikov bure broke the silence with a goal in the first minute. Connall MacLeod did not stand for this as he scored his 6th to tie the game early. Alaina Silvia scored her 4th goal to take the lead heading into the 3rd. Connall MacLeod stands tall once again as he scores his 7th taking the game into overtime wher the overtime Clutch Captain stood tall

Game 20: Whalers @ :impact:
BONJOUR FUCK BOYS. MY HANDS ARE TIRED. RIP

Anyways let's start. The Impact in 5 minutes scored the first goal as Michael Gerrard buried his 5th of the year. Alaina Silvia who has had a decent season so far, scored 5 minutes later to tie the game up from an assist from Paska Jakatis and Alexi Orlov. 2nd Period, a minute in, Patrikov Bure scored his 12th goal giving the Whalers the 2-1 lead. After some penalties, 7 minutes later, Rostislav Pirozhkov scored his 1st goal of the year giving the Whalers a 3-1 lead. 1 minute later, after a big hit by Morenov to Bure. Alexi Orlov came to the table.

Morenov won the fight due to his much bigger size and it gave the Impact a big momentum shift as Chris Welch scored to bring the lead down to one. Heading into the 3rd. Rostislav Pirozhkov going to the penalty box for taking a high sticking call and Montreal make use of it with a goal by Mikelis Grundmanis from Lord Pretty Flacko. The Whalers failed to register any offense till the last 3 minutes of the game. Vlad McZ gives a nice pass to Jack Durden who gets the winning goal.

Game 21: Whalers @ raiders
Straight off the bat, the game starts out with the Vancouver goon Alexi Orlov taking a penalty for holding the stick which does not go well with the Whalers who immediately get scored on by free agent Mike Ross in his first game. 3 minutes later, the 3rd line for the Whalers come up and capitalize as Alaina Silvia scores off an assist from Marshall and Wolker. 5 minutes later, Patrikov Bure gets sprung for a breakaway from Jack Durden and he delivers on a backhand to bring the lead to the Whalers. 2nd Period was slowed down but by the 15 minute mark, the Captain scored his 11th of the year to bring the lead to 2. The rest of the game was slow as the Raiders were unable to get any offense going while the Whalers had Alaina Silvia chipping in one more goal to bring the score to 4-1.

Game 22 Falcons @ Whalers
2nd game between these two teams, and the Whalers just came off the Raiders win, showed some fatigue early on but woke up. While shots were even at first, after some penalties in the later half of the first, Vancouver poured on shots as Rick James scored for the Whalers getting the lead. 2nd Period was slow again, Detroit taking lots of penalties with Austin Lemieux flipping the puck over the glass. Jasper Clayton served the penalty. With 4 minutes left in the 2nd, Patrick McEichel off a rebound scored his 9th of the year bringing the lead to 2. Detroit with a minute after the goal responded with Tyson Apostol scoring his 3rd to bring the lead to 1. Right after THAT, Bure and Rostislav Pirozhkov worked around the Detroit zone before Curtis Crawford 1 Timed a goal past Lemieux.

3rd Period, the Falcons tried hard to score a goal, they couldn't get anything going on the Whalers, missed shots all around, Naeem Chamas got the team within one but couldn't beat Tyler NoNerves in the end as the Whalers make it 4 wins in a row

Game 23 :impact: @ Whalers
Game started as Jack Durden won the faceoff to Vlad McZ who skated the puck in, dropped the puck to Alexi Orlov who one times it! SCORES, First goal for the kid. While a great milestone, not a great game for the Whalers as 2 minutes later, Adam Falk passes the puck to Jesster who slams one home. Later in the period, Adam Falk takes a penalty as Jack Durden scores to gain the lead, short lived however as Michael Gerrard scores his 6th to tie the game 2-2

2nd Period, Curtis Crawford was able to score a goal early in the period but Jesster and Welch score 2 quick goals to get the lead heading into the 3rd, Wyatt Wolker Slaps one shot past Ciarelli, but get followed by Jesster and Lord Pretty Flacko as the Whalers attempt to get a comeback going. While Wolker gets one more goal late, that's all the team could muster ending the 4 game win streak

Game 24 Whalers @ raiders
2 Minutes in the game, Lars Dahlstrom from an assist by Tomas Kuma, scored for Halifax against the Whalers which would be a horrible game for the said Whalers. The first period was close as Valentin Makarov scored 1 minute after from a nice pass keeping the game close but the 2nd period ended up being a slaughterhouse as Conall Macleod, Taystee Poussay, and Mike Ross Explode for 3 goals during the period while Alaina Sylvia scores 1 to make it a 3 goal lead for the Raiders. The game finish with Vlad McZ scoring 1 vain goal in the 4-2 loss.

Game 25 Firebirds @ Whalers
These two teams haven't played each other in a while and this game was quite exciting as a result. Gavin Trent with one of his first games of his career, anyways 10 minutes in, after John Beckner takes a penalty for the Firebirds as Vlad McZ continues his recent success on the Powerplay with a deflection from Cody Black. The 2nd Period takes a very similar approach for the Firebirds as Alexi Orlov is called for hooking which the recent hot streak Mario Nyquist to score a powerplay goal of his own. The two goalies, the rookie Gavin Trent and the Veteran Kyle Prince, they fight their heart out as they both stand tall hanging past the 3rd period, OT, now they face the shootout.

ST: Sparks Lightning comes to the draw, he looks to be talking to himself, skating in quick, forehand backhand! Save by Trent! Followed him very quickly and easily, good save.

Valentin Makarov now comes to the center, skates in slow, some quick dangles, shoots low blocker! Turned away by Prince

Luke Flemming skating down slow
[Image: thegoal.gif]
SCORE, LUKE FLEMMING!

Patrikov Bure coming in close now, some quick dangles shoots five hole, Squeaks through! Prince swats it off the line!

Leon Webb now for the win, he's got a chance to win the game now, Shoots top Shelf! Gavin Trent makes the save

Now its all up to Patrick McEichel, he has the chance to tie it up, Skates in quick! To the Backhand!

ROBBED, ROBBED, LARSENY, HE GOT ROBBED! PRINCE WINS THE GAME FOR PRINCE GEORGE

Game 26 Falcons @ Whalers
Whalers beat the Falcons last time, can they do it again ending their recent losing streak? Early on it looks like they couldn't. 2 minutes in Allen Stewart scores to get an early lead, things remained quiet for a while as the Whalers tried to get a goal, Ross Burke broke through against the Whalers as he scores his 7th of the year after a penalty for the Whalers cost them. Luckily, 1 minute later with 9 seconds left in the period, Julie-Anne Marhsall scores to cut the lead to 1. 2nd Period has the Whalers tie it up as Patrick McEichel scores a one timer after Patrikov Bure gets a pass on a 2-1. 3rd Period Paska Jakatis scores to get the first lead for the Whalers on the PP. Whalers try to hold on for a little while longer but Ross Burke ties the game followed by another goal by Naeem Chamas scores to stab the dagger and cause the 4th loss by the Whalers in a row.

Game 27: Whalers @ Mammoths
Whalers on a downwards spiral since their 4 game losing streak, can they end the streak this game? low shooting game for both teams, dump and chase seems to be the go to option in this game as both teams record few shots, 1 makes it through Colorodo as Jack Durden scores his 9th of the game to get a lead for the Whalers which they need to end their losing streak. Tony Pellagrino and Craig Wall put a stop to that however as Charlie Conway snipes one on NoNerves in the 2nd period.

3rd Period, Sum Ting Wong takes a bad roughing call on Jack Durden who makes up for it as the primary assist to the game winning goal by Wyatt Wolker which ends the losing streak for the Whalers

Game 28: Whalers @ Scarecrows
After just ending their losing streak the Whalers hope to continue their past success as they try to get things going again. Patrikov Bure seems optimistic as he gets a nice breakaway pass which ends his recent point drought. I'm not going to sugarcoat this game, but there was nothing to this game, lots of penalties in the 2nd, which led to 2 goals by Steve French and Ryan King as the Scarecrows shut down the Whalers as they continue to struggle

Game 29: Whalers @ Mammoths
WE GOT A GAME HERE BOYS AND GIRLS :ahh!: Popcorn

Alaina Silvia starts off the great game with a goal at the 3:32 minute mark, her 9th of they year and starts off this cluster fuck. Rick Chleb takes a penalty which costs the Mammoths as Diego Ramierez scores his 2nd of his career on the PP to get the 2-0 lead. Only a minute later, Tony Pellagrino cuts the lead to 1 as he scores.

Faceoff at center ice, Jack Durden losses the puck after the Mammoths steal the puck, but after a bad pass, Vlad McZ scores only 6 seconds after Tony Pellagrino

The game slows down finally but for 5 minutes as Wyatt Wolker scores to bring the lead to 4-1, but all the fun is short lived as Sum Ting Wong gets a greasy goal in front to cut the lead to 2. Whalers don't like that as Jack scores his 10th to bring the lead back to 3. 2nd Period the Whalers melt down, Craig Wall and Tony Pellagrino score 2 as Rostislav Pirozhkov scores with 1 second left on the clock to go to the 3rd period. Which was bad for the Whalers. Tony and San Pellagrino work their magic as they score one followed by Patrikov Bure scoring to try and win the game for the Whalers. Some Sloppy play and penalties cost the Whalers two goals by Sum Ting Wong and Potato Chips as they head into the OT

Bure and McEichel cycling the puck in Colorodo area, Bure gets hit along the boards and loses the puck, McEichel retrieves it and passes it Cody Black, One Timer! Score! 8-7 victory for the Whalers!

Game 30: Falcons @ Whalers
Pls My hands are burning from the typing, save me pls

Game starts with Jasper Clayton fucking up and hooking 3 minutes in. Vancouver captalize on the early mistake by the captain as Paska Jakatis scores 39 seconds in to take the early lead. The game slows for several minutes but at the 14th minute mark, Ross Burke followed by Naeem Chamas score 2 quick goals to neutralize the Whalers lead. 2nd Period has the Whalers struggle to beat the Falcons defense but in the 3rd, Julie-Anne Marshall scores his 4th of the year. Too bad that Naeem Chamas already scored and won the game

Game 31 Whalers @ Firebirds

Now I'm just going to tell you straight up, 1 goal was scored, 2nd period, I won't tell you yet but this is what this part is so boring. 3 penalties in the whole game, not a lot of shots and hits, oh and McZ scored to let Vancouver win :ahh!:

Game 32 Whalers @ Falcons

Last game, the Detroit Falcons scored late to keep the lead and won 3-2, now the Whalers showing a lot of tenacity straight off the bat, as Valentin Makarov scored 1 minute in off an assist from Alexi Orlov. After 3 more penalties in the 1st, Jack Durden scored top shelf to bring the lead to two.

Detroit attempted to create some offense with the Whalers taking several penalties this game already, the Whalers PK Unit played exceptional except for the last 4 minutes of the period, where Yorgan Bartenberry scored to take the lead down to 1. The close game was short, as Cody Black came shifting through the defenders shooting one five hole, followed by a goal by Patrikov Bure who was assisted by Paska Jakatis. At this time, Lemieux was pulled in relief as the Whalers played defence. Patrikov Bure would score 1 more goal this game from Paska again as the game was over

Game 33: :impact: @ Whalers
Another slow game for the Whalers, Michael Gerrard scored early in the game with Mikelis Grundmanis and Mathias Holmberg passing the puck around. Wyatt Wolker took a double minor in the period for roughing luckily not causing a second goal, the 2nd period was slower, Whalers generated some offense but couldn't find a way to beat Ciarelli yet. 3rd Period, Curtis Crawford slapped one home, tying the game up at a 1-1 tie. The game would head to OT, The rookie Alexi Orlov would score burying the puck in to beat the Impact and continue the winning streak

Game 34: Whalers @ :impact:
These two teams head to Montreal to face each other again, Whalers took last game in OT. Game was tense, Flacko took a hooking call to start the game, Whalers could score on Ciarelli though, some quality chances by the Impact didn't score either as it looked to be a goalie game. 2nd Period, after Vlad McZ caused a rebound, Jack Durden scored his 12th of the game. 10 Minutes later, Tyler NoNerves after making a great stop, passed the puck to Wolker who got the puck to Bure who scored his 18th of the year. Impact tried to do anything they could but Tyler NoNerves stood tall as he earned the shutout

Game 35: Firebirds @ Whalers
This game was far more exciting then the last one these two games fought, Shea Robinson scored 14 minutes in, on the PP when Wyatt Wolker was called for tripping, Whalers would respond only 6 seconds later, Durden sniper his 13th low blocker tying the game and avoided a momentum grab. After more penalties later in the game, 2nd period, Jack Durden scored another one low glove this time as the lead was now to the Whalers. John Beckner interfered with Tyler NoNerves in the 2nd which caused some pushing and shoving in the net. 3rd Period, Curtis Crawford scored his 8th from McEichel and Bure, off a penalty by Cynthia Taylor. Cynthia would strike right back as she gave an assist to Scott Robertson. The Firebirds couldn't get any more goals as Bure scored an empty net to end the game.

Game 36 Scarecrows @ Whalers
Boring game scoring wise, BIG FIGHT THROUGHOUT. These two teams looked to hate each other as 11 minutes in, Alexi Orlov, the 5'6 small man, took down the 6'2 Johnny Cahil as sparks flied. Ryan King and Bure were pushing and shoving but nothing of the sorts happened. Speaking of Ryan King, he scored 2 goals throughout the game, while Whalers scored none. The Whalers were frustrated as Jack Durden boarded Winston Windsor. Winston didn't like that at all as he high sticked Durden drawing blood. The Captain Vlad McZ stood in and pushed off Windor Winston as he received a penalty for it. Diego Ramierez was called for Cross Checking but Rostislav Pirozhkov and John Matthews fought to a draw as the game ended.

The fight quickly went out of hand after Diego cross checked Windsor Windston as most of the team began to rough it up

Game 37 Whalers @ Knights
While the first goal didn't come to the 2nd period and penalties were small, the goal scoring exploded in the 2nd as there were 12 goals in 2 periods. *Sucks in breath. Ivan Koroviev struck first 1 minute in the 2nd, 5 minutes later Vlad McZ scored to tie the game. Kelowna took the chance as Randy scored along with Whooves and the Iceland Viking as the 2nd ended, Whalers made a small comeback however as Curtis Crawford scored 2 goals in 2 minutes to bring the team within 1. Durden helped with the effort scoring 1 more but the Whalers was out of fuel. Pentecost, Lundberg, and Vilhjalmsson all scored to bring their total to 7 goals. Vlad McZ scored 1 more before Kelowna won the game

Game 38: Mammoths @ Whalers
Paska Jakatis scored 10 minutes into the game to give the Whalers the lead, some early penalties later, and the 2nd period began. 33 Seconds in Vlad Mcz Scored to give the Whalers the 2-0 lead. An old Whalers Sergei Volchenkov scored his 3rd of the year on the PP from an hooking call. Patrick McEichel scored 1 more goal before the Mammoths stampeded ahead. The Mammoths poured on the offense luckily Gavin Trent, the goalie played tonight saved most of them to keep the game tied, Reud and Tony Pellagrino scored for the Mammoths. OT was scary for the Whalers, Rick James took a double minor but luckily the Whalers held off for the shootout

ST: Charlie Conway with his signature triple deke, 1, 2, 3 shoots! Easy save by Trent!

Valentin Makarov coming down quick! 2 leg pumps and shovels it five hole!

Potato Chips now, deking left and right, shoots five hole as Trent looks sky wards in disbelief that the puck went in.

Bure now in with speed, Shoots high! Hits the post! Close one for Colorodo

Tony Pellagrino coming down with purpose, Tony backhands it! Pad stop for Trent

Its all up to McEichel to win it,

LOOK AT THE HANDS MY GOD! McEichel wins the game with a fancy move, what was that 20 dekes?!

Game 39: raiders @ Whalers
The game started off in the 5 minute mark when Jack Durden and Vlad McZ scored two goals in 2 minutes taking the early lead. Vancouver played strong throughout the game holding the Raiders back, no penalties, dump and chase, the Whalers tried to keep the Raiders at bay. This backfired as Halifax would score 4 goals in 10 minutes to win the game. The goals were by Tomas Kuma, Petr Kolesnikovs, Sekkusu Gan, and Ace McCardle.

Game 40: Whalers @ Scarecrows
Blow out game for the Whalers, against the Scarecrows. the first goal was by Ryan King late in the 1st which was a ball buster for the Whalers. 2nd period had 3 goals by the Scarecrows, 2 by the Mountain and 1 by Windsor. Meanwhile Paska Jakatis and Rick James would score 2 goals which sort of helped. But the Scarecrows dominated the Whalers with another 3 goals as Bure scored the final goal to end the game 7-3.

Game 41: Scarecrows @ Whalers
Vancouver was certainly pumped to face the Scarecrows after the big defeat last game, and they came out firing, Bure shot the puck which cost a rebound for McEichel to bury the biscuit 1 minute in. 5 minutes later, Rick James scored a deflection from Wolker and Black. The carnage didn't stop as Tuzis took a high sticking call where Patrikov Bure scored on the PP to have a 3-0 lead. Ryan King scored in the losing effort as Julie-Anne Marshall scored 2 goals to end the game 5-1. A very good comeback after the bad game.

Game 42 Knights @ Whalers
The Whalers on are a roll goal wise as they enter the game, 7 goals were scored in the 1st period, Alexi Orlov who scored his 3rd started it off. Ivar Ogorodnikov scored to tie it up late before the playoff superstars came to play. Bure and McZ scored 2 goals each as Marshall scored 1 as well. The Whalers took a 6-1 lead straight from the start as Kelowna lost all momentum and seemed to have given up. 2nd period, Jack Durden won the faceoff to McZ who scored a hat trick this game. McZ returned the favor to Durden who scored late in the period. The game ended with Kelowna getting slat rubbed into the wound, Curtis Crawford scored 1 more before Maria scored her 8th to end the game.

Game 43 Whalers @ Firebirds
Gavin Trent played this game as the Whalers take on the Prince George Firebirds. McEichel was the 2nd star of the game as he scored the first 2 goals 6 minutes apart, 1 on a powerplay after an interference penalty. Jack Durden was the 1st start with his 2 goals to give the Whalers the 4-0 lead which was the moment when Prince was pulled. The Firebirds went all offense as the Whalers stood back and let it happen. Flemming scored a goal late in the 2nd. Cynthia Slapped a bomb in the net on a McZ penalty, Leon Webb scored 1 more goal to make it a game as the clock winded down and the Whalers won 4-3.

Game 44 Whalers @ Falcons
Another road game for the Whalers, the Whalers lost their amazing away record for a reason. Naeem Chaamas, Clive Stonehands, and Mac Hooper all scored for a 3 goal deficit for Vancouver, Bure could only score 1 goal for the Whalers before they lost. But the interesting part of the game was the penalties. A total of 12 penalties between these two teams evenly, these two teams played a horrible discipline game due to Clayton's leadership turning everyone to goons.

Game 45 Whalers @Firebirds
The Whalers road trip continues as the Whalers take on the Firebirds again. Luke Flemming layed down the hammer with a slap shot that went way past Gavin Trent into the net. A powerplay marker as well. An akward moment between the 2 Eastern Hemisphere players, MacGregor and Bure colided where Bure tripped MacGregor and MacGregor was holding Bure as he fell as the 2 got a penalty.

Anyways, Marshall scored the 1st goal for the Whalers 1 minute into the 2nd period. Rostislav Pirozhkov would score 5 minutes later but not before 2 quick Prince George goals by Robinson and Sparks Lightning. The game ended with the Whalers unable to score any goals as DJ Stanley put salt in the wound with his 14th.

Game 44 Whalers @ Falcons
1 More road game for the Whalers after this as they end the season at home, anyways lets get it started, Marshall scores his 14th of the year 1 minute in but the goal is short lived as Yorgen Bartenberry scores to tie the game up quickly. 2nd Period started with a penalty by Cody Black as Tim Tebow scores his 3rd goal to get the lead for the Falcons. Once again the glory was short, McEichel this time scored to tie the game up assisted by Curtis Crawford. That's all the goals Detroit could score for the whole 2nd and 3rd period. Whalers didn't score again in the 2nd but Patrikov Bure scored his 25th of the year to win the game.

Game 45 Knights @ Whalers
The first game back home in a while was not pretty as the Whalers had a bad game against the Kelowna Knights. Vlad McZ and Jack Durden scored 2 Powerplay goals but that's all the Whalers Offense could do. The Knights stampeded over the Whalers shot wise and hits wise, Hugh Johnson was the first goal scorer followed by Ivar Ogorodnikov on a PP, Jukka-Emil Vanaja and Matt Veentra who was just re acquired in a trade with Prince George scored the last two goals for a loss in the Whalers Arena. but what was really shocking was the news that Clayton and Burch was traded to Montreal as they faced them tomorow

Game 46: Whalers @ :impact:
LADIES AND GENTLEMEN. I AM JUST GOING TO LIST THE GOALS WHILE WE COMMENTATE THE BRAWL THAT JUST HAPPENED BETWEEN THESE TWO RIVAL TEAMS BEFORE THEY POSSIBLY FACE EACH OTHER IN THE FINALS

Burch scored his first goal in a Impact 3 minutes with Clayton assisting, Adam Falk scored his 26th of the year 5 minutes later on the PP. Marshall scored 2 goals in the losing effort, as Wolff and Welch score 2 more goals as the Whalers lose.

BACK TO THE BRAWL BITCHES

Started in the 2nd period, Jörgen Dåhlssen and Rostislav Pirozhkov fought to a draw. Just 30 Seconds later, the Line Brawl happened. Clayton started it as he hooked Marshall who chopped Clayton in the knees as everyone came in a started fighting each other

Michael Gerrard high sticked Marshall in the face for the vicious chop as Cody Black and Flacko dropped the gloves as the two fought. Wyatt Wolker and Adam Falk were also fighting each other and both push a ref down to continue the fight. After a while, Falk and Black are ejected out of the game for their pushing of the ref while Black beat up Flacko.

Game 47: Falcons @ Whalers

2nd Last game for the Whalers, the Whalers are trying to get 60 points in the season to end it and face the Colorodo Mammoths in the first round. Let's get started. Allan Stewart starts the game for interference and is put in the box where Vlad McZ snipes one past Austin Lemieux. Detroit and Vancouver took some more penalties as Maverick Mitchell scores a powerplay goal on NoNerves. 2nd Period, Jack Durden shovels a goal past Lemieux for his 21th of the year assisted by McZehrl. The Whalers were up by 1 by the 3rd but 3 minutes in Aleksander Stromberg scored to tie the game. No more goals were scored in the 3rd and OT as the Shootout took place.

ST:

Valentin Makarov coming down for the Whalers, with speed, through the legs! Backhander and scores! Nice move to beat the goalie.

First goal was scored 6 minutes in by Julie-Anne Marshall from Wyatt Wolker and Cody Black, this was his 12th of the year. 10 minutes later Vlad McZ scored his 25th goal and the final Whalers goal of the season as he scored the 1st goal and the last goal for the Whalers. A fitting end for the Captain. Halifax would only score 1 goal in the end by Hendrickson as the game ended 2-1.

Well that is all of the games we played throughout the season. It is with sad news that I will no longer be writing the Whaler's Tale anymore. I will be joining the SHL soon and I would like for Whalers to continue to write their tale. So I would like to welcome Cody Black AKA Dangles13 as the new writer for this series.

And with that, I'd like to thank all of you for reading this or some of it as I assume most would skim past this. The next time you see a Whaler's Issue will most likely be a Season review, which players preformed well in the season and the playoffs. From everyone here at the Whaler's Tale, thanks!

I got two goals against the Falcons though.

John Scott doesn't even get two goals in a season.

It's an honour and a privilege to take over the Whaler's Tale. Hopefully I can be half as good as you have been. :D
