A surprising playoff series for the Vancouver Whalers, the Whalers have been knocked out in 5 games by the new Expansion team, the Colorado Mammoths. Not surprising as the Mammoths dominated the Whalers all season long as Vancouver failed to score goals and keep the puck out of their net.

Patrikov Bure is here to take his last Presser as a Whaler, a very sad one for him.

Bure: Wow, this is going to be the last time I will be in this building and next to all you reporters. I sure am going to miss you guys. The fans have given both me, and the team the best 3 seasons a guy could ever ask for.

I still remember the draft and training camp. I was drafted with Tyler NoNerves as 25th overall. Training camp was awesome, met one of my best friends at the time and had a blast with the dude, and got to know the team, the organization, and the fans as a whole

My first season was spectacular, although I didn't like my center line mate, I had a good rookie season for my standards. Playoffs we were led by Andrey Barbashev and Vlad McZehrl, our future captain. We went all the way to the finals, we were knocked out in OT Game 6 as I lost my first playoff series and it was a heartbreaker.

2nd Season, only 10 games in, I changed my name to Patrikov Bure and the points racked up. I began almost a point per game streak for 10 games and I really had a fantastic breakout year. Vlad McZ eventually scored a lot more allowing me to score less and rest up. I would also like to thank Geoffrey Allen and Jack Durden for being my favorite line mates I've ever had. Great guys and I wish they could have stayed with me this season. Playoffs were spectacular, we were the crappiest team in history, last by a mile, but somehow we clicked. We never went into an elimination game for us as we won the 4 Star Cup and I had one of my best playoff games ever in the finals as we won the cup.

3rd Season, I once again continued my success as I was 3rd in the league for points. This was my last season and I knew it. I wanted to go out with a bang, losing Allen and Hoover was a tough pill to swallow as I struggled but my new line mate Patrick McEichel was a big help scoring goals and passing the puck. I can't help but thank him as well. It was tough losing this year to Colorado, I was hoping to go out on top. But in hockey, you don't always go out on top and I accept that. Its time for me to Join Winnipeg now, hopefully win a cup there.

aww jeez, I promised the rookies I wouldn't cry, its been an emotional night, but I'll take any more questions you have.


Who do you think will win the Four Star Cup now that Vancouver's out of the race?

As much as it pains me to say it, Kelowna has the best chance at the moment with such superstars like Randleman, Koroviev, Maximova, I think they have a good chance to beat the Impact in the finals if Randleman can get going. Although if he doesn't I don't think they can.

What happened out there? It looked like a series you guys couldn't possibly lose, and then. . .well you did lose.

I have no idea what in the world just happened, even if we were having a bad season against the Mammoths, playoffs are always different but this time it was the exact same and well.. we couldn't score and when we did we kept getting scored on. It was tough to lose but I had a good run here. I'm happy with what I have done.

Will you be joining the Jets on their playoff run this season?
I don't believe so, I think they are doing just fine and coach L4E is having a fine time with his guys. I think I will just barely make it if I do but currently, I haven't been informed to pack my bags, so I think I'm going to head back to Russia with Cynthia and start training

What is the stanley cup? I think you mean the 4 Star Cup I guess. Well I won the cup by scoring 8 goals in the finals to win the cup last year.

Active in the Locker Room, protected your teammates, and one of the best rookies this year in my opinion. Of course you are my favorite rookie.

How did the loss of Hoover and Allen affect the team this season?
Now that the season is over, MASSIVE. The minute Allen and Hoover left, we lost such a goal scoring powerhouse. I wanted to keep my head up but deep inside I knew we weren't going to exactly win.

Who was your favorite teammate and why was it Allen?
In my career, it was Allen, and Durden I guess. THE BAD LINE :o.Too gud. Who knows, maybe one day I'll come with you and Kuddley to make the BKA AKA THE BURGER KING ATTACKS. Maybe just maybe.

Did it suck to be less handsome than Allen?
No cause I'm Russian Handsome, I guess you can join Merica(The country not Daniel Merica) and be handsome there.
