J: Krištof it is nice to meet up with you again, and thank you for taking the time to speak with us at CHEW today. We would just like to go over with your thoughts and feelings about the past 2 games.

K: Yeah not a problem at all. I always like talking to you guys back home. I hope everything is good back in the Czech!

J: First, we would like you congratulate you with your first career goal as a Halifax Raider, that must have been a great feeling.

K : Yeah, you know, it’s always good to get the first one out there, takes a little bit of the pressure off kinda deal. It may have been a deflection but It felt familiar , especially since Oliver was the one who shot’er on net. Definitely a great feeling, but really I’m just happy that they were able to pull out the win at the end.

J: Your brother Oliver also has been racking up some points and was named one of the alternate captains for the Raiders. Must be good to see he is having success.

K: Definitely, he has been killing so far! I’m so proud of him for taking on the leadership role and I know that it’ll only elevate my own game.

J: You just played a home and away against Montreal Militia recently, coming out 1-1. After losing the first game, what did you guys change for game 2, to come back and win?

K: After the 5-2 loss, coach, and all of us, realized that we played to their game and pace, not our own. So for game 2, we came out with our speed and attacking hard in the neutral zone trying to creating those opportunities. Also,  the chances that we had on the man-advantage we were able to convert, so that is always key.

J: where do you think you guys did well and some areas you think that need to be improved on, in both games?

K: I feel like we were pretty good in the dot across the board for both games. But with the more aggressive nature that we play , playing close to our man / in their face for those turnovers, it causes a lot of penalties. We didn’t have to look at the game sheet afterwards to know that we had almost double the time on the PK last night.

J: How do you feel about your own performance in these two games?

K: I think I did okay, the first game I had a little bit more offense but was lacking my other duties and coulda been better on the dot. So for game 2, I stuck with my assignment and was able to dial in on the faceoffs. Made sure I left it all out on the ice.

J: Now that you’ve settled somewhat into the season; what do you expect your personal game will be like going forward.

K: I can’t say for sure, since we have yet to play the Scarecrows. But they’ll both be hungry, just like we are, so it’s impossible to predict how that will go. I’m just going to be listening to our coaches and work on areas they see I could really use and really just make sure every shift counts.  Hopefully we can pull of 2 more wins,  keep our momentum going for the rest of the season.

Thank you for taking the time to answer our questions, that’s all we have for you today Krištof. We hope to catch up with you again very soon. From everyone here at CHEW, and all of our listeners, good luck on your 2 upcoming games this week!
