Chiefs Express - Episode Eight

Ladies and Gentlemen we are Monday September 17th and welcome to the seventh Edition of ''Chiefs Express!''. My name is Mister Prime and I will on a daily basis recap the activities of the Minnesota Chiefs for Season 43 with focus on their lead Goaltender Sebastien Primeau.

On the menu today I will be covering Day 23, 24 and 25 of activities for the Chiefs who were on a three game winning streak prior to today. The Minnesota squad played all of today's game at home before a sold out crowd! Let's get right down to the action shall we?

== Day 23 - Match 111 ==
New England Wolfpack versus Minnesota Chiefs
Live from the Minnesota XCel Energy Center!

New England were the only team to score during this game unfortunately for Minnesota, in the first Berezin netted his 5th aided by Spitfire and Czerkawski late in the period.

In the second early into the bout Green scored his fifth with help from Dubois and Dominque.

In the third past the half way mark Brumm Junior potted his third of the campaign assisted by Andani and Clayton.

Final Score: New England 3 - Minnesota 0

In net, Sebastien Primeau saved 27 out of the 30 shots fired his way for his seventh loss this season and a 0.900 save percentage. For the Wolfpack, Mikke Laukkanen scores a shutout thus a 1.000 save percentage having blocked all 25 pucks shot his way.

== Day 24 - Match 119 ==
Winnipeg Jets versus Minnesota Chiefs
Live from the Minnesota XCel Energy Center!

The Chiefs were looking to do better than last match and scored first with Nova's eight assisted by Flacko but the Jets replied late in the period with Visser's 11th net of the season aided by Bearss and Zhumbayev.

In the second, Minnesota took the lead again with Watson's 6th with assists from Nuck and Lundberg however the Jets would fight back with two of their own. Bearrs scored his 7th with help from Arrivabene and Weber followed by Visser's second of the game, 12th this season aided by Grease and Volkova on a powerplay.

In the third the Jets would get four more in! Evans scoring his 5th with help from Jesus and Hefeweizen, Jesus 30 seconds on the dot later with his 9th helped by Evans and Hefeweizen and Blackwell 3 minutes later netting his fourth assisted by Weber and Hefeweizen. The Chiefs would try to come back on a power play with Garbanzo's second helped by Lundberg mid way through the period but then Kylrad added a 7th goal for the Winnipeg squad scoring his 9th aided by Yelkrab and Blackwell.

Final Score: Winnipeg 7 - Minnesota 3

In net, Sebastien Primeau now has as many wins as he has losses with a tally of 8 having saved 30 of the 37 shots aimed towards his net and a 0.811 save percentage he is not proud of. Winnipeg's Zhumbayev on his side earned his 11th win of the season saving 33 out of the 36 shots aimed his way and a 0.917 save percentage.

== Day 25 - Match 127 ==
Calgary Dragons versus Minnesota Chiefs
Live from the Minnesota XCel Energy Center!  

The Chiefs were looking to end their home stay on a positive note as they welcome the defending Champions!
Unfortunately the Dragons soared and scored first with Kurczewski's 7th of the campaign 15 seconds in with assistance from Linna and Kaiser. This was to be the only goal of the period.

In the second the Calgary-squad would add two more to their tally, Kaiser's 5th helped by Driftwood and Kurczewski pushed the Dragons to a 2-0 lead less than 2 minutes in and then three minutes later Anrikkanen scored his 7th aided by Creller and Izzy. The Chiefs attempted a comeback with a couple of goals late in the period Watson scored his 7th helped by Garbanzo and Pelletier and then Flacko's second brought the game at 3-2 after two with help from Nuck and Nova.

The score would remain as such for half of the third period and a bit more until Mike Izzy sealed the game with his 5th of the season with assistance from Linna and Creller.

Final Score: Calgary 4 - Minnesota 3

In net, Sebastien Primeau stopped 25 out of the 29th shots fired his way for his 9th loss this season and a 0.862 save percentage. Richard C. Hocolate on his end stopped 30 out of the 33 fired on him for his 8th win of the season and a 0.938 save percentage.

Dragons * - Mike Izzy
Dragons ** - Joe Kurczewski
Dragons *** - Adam Kaiser

These three losses brought the Chiefs to slide out of playoff contention at the moment now standing in 5th place with 18 points tied with the Platoon and shy of only one point of Toronto for a spot in the dance! The competition is tight in Conference two as only 2 points separate third from 6th while Hamilton and Buffalo at 23 points each are slowly separating themselves from the rest.

In the Scoring Leaders standings Terrance Nova moves up two spots now 16th with 8 goals, 11 assists for 19 points. Isak Odegard slipped in the standings from 22nd now at the 40th spot with 4 goals, 12 assists for 16 points. Noro Wozy also slid from 23rd now down to the 43rd spot with 8 goals, 7 assists for 15 points. Unfortunately Halfdan Thorstein is out of the top 75 now.

In terms of Goalie Standings Sebastien Primeau now stands at 10th spot with 8 wins and 9 losses, a save percentage of 0.896 and a 3.12 goal against average.

Tomorrow we are looking at two games from the Chiefs who will travel to Toronto to face the North Stars and then go back home the next day to engage against the Pride!
